Feast of the Solemn Commemoration of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"The Mother of the Lord has clothed us with the garment of salvation
and has enclosed us with the cloak of justice"
(2nd Antiphon, First Vespers)

Our Immaculate Mother of Carmel, as that valiant woman mentioned in the Sacred Writ who makes sure that all her domestics are clothed with two garments in winter time (cf., Pr. 31.21), exquisitely clothes Her children in a two-fold manner in this our militant exile here. She clothes us that we may be 1) preserved in grace - God living in us, we living by Him - and, 2) that we may attain to the glory of that Christian perfection set for us by Our Lord (cf., Lk. 6.40; Mt. 5.48). This is evident in the complete habit of Her Carmelite religious clothed in Her Scapular and in Her white mantle as a cloak of luminous glory resplendent according to Her image Speculum Iustitiae: Speculum Sine Macula ("Mirror of Justice": "Unspotted Mirror" of the Divine Sun).

Through Her Scapular, She would preserve our heart - which the Eucharistic Heart of Her Little Jesus purifies, cures, nourishes, strengthens, and inflames at the Communion rail - from turning away from its first and only love: the true God of our Catholic Tradition Who, before and above all things, is to be loved with our whole mind, heart, soul, and strength (cf., Mk. 12.30). This is preservation not only from utter coldness or apostasy from God but even from lukewarmness (cf. Apoc. 3.15-16: the seventh or last age of the Church of which our age, the fifth one, is already the "dress rehearsal" (Bp. Williamson) or of halting between our true God and the Neo-Catholic [g]od of 'liberalist' convenience and their opposed standards of living (cf., 3 Ki. 18.21). Thus a heart who is conformed more and more to the Heart of our true "Catholic God" through consecration to the Immaculate Heart of our Blessed Mother, of which the Scapular is the sign, glows more and more brightly with the fire of Love Divine in that same liberal-total life giving by Our Beloved Crucified for the honor and glory of God [dishonor, mockery, and profanation of the Sacred in the "New Order"] and the salvation of souls from eternal perdition with the damned in hell ['ecumenical' and this-worldly happiness in the "New"]. This is the spirit She imparts to Her Carmelite religious and through them to the whole Church by means of Her holy habit, the Scapular, but this spirit is already first and foremost Catholic - why our holy Mother Teresa of Jesus had such zealous care for purity of doctrine: unalloyed truth alone leads to the Heart of God, I will espouse thee to Me in Faith (Os. 2.20); whereas, one single minute distortion of the truth leads to the domain of the devil who stood not in the truth (Jn. 8.44).

A most blessed Feast to everyone!

Salvation is in the "Blood of the Lamb"

Apocalypse XIV now unfolding (cf., our posts "The Wine of the Wrath of God" and "After Pope Benedict XVI, the 'Last' Roman Pontiff?"). The divine chastisement of world-wide conflagration (Lk. 17.29-30, cf., our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations") to annihilate the 'super-power' and cities and nations drunk with the wine of its immodesty, impurity, fornication, homosexuality, and blasphemies (Apoc. 14.8) is imminent - the close of our end-times period (distinct from the consummation of the world, Mt. 28.20).

They... have made them white in the Blood of the Lamb
(Apoc. 7.14) ... All things... are cleansed with Blood: and without shedding of Blood there is no remission (Heb. 9.22).

The Blood of the [Divine] Lamb can be availed of in the traditional Rite of the Sacrament of Penance (cf., our post "On Concealing Sins in Confession") and of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist (the Traditional Latin Mass). Go to our traditional Catholic Mass Centers (links on the left-side bar of this site). Flee to the mountains... (Mt. 24.16).
