And it would be rather more credible to maintain that Benedict XVI is still the Pope than state it otherwise when the contrary flies in the face of incontrovertible terms of the "Declaration" - facts constitute the truth: it's always credible to stand solidly on the truth than on a theory as you reduces the truth to.Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-32542010498365112812016-11-06T03:31:51.867+01:002016-11-06T03:31:51.867+01:00The Word of God, both written and unwritten (2 The...The Word of God, both written and unwritten (2 Thess. 2.14), teaches us truth and in doing so is not obliged to contain it in a term (as "masturbation" for example) - this is a Protestant folly (Sacred Writ in the original of Acts 20.28 gives the term "episkopoi", that is, "bishops" as the ones placed by the Spirit of Truth to rule the Church; yet they insist on the pagan "overseer").

The seed of life is by Natural Law (the Divine Law implanted in nature) intended by the Sovereign Lord and Creator for procreation - man's participation in the life-giving power proper only to God. To use it otherwise that not only frustrates His design for it but even supplants Him as Master of life? This is why it is mortal.

Those drunk with Masonic 'naturalism' deny original sin, therefore it is only a natural bodily craving rather than the uncleanness of a filthy humor of concupiscence.

Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-10316456666929692792016-07-17T18:17:38.982+02:002016-07-17T18:17:38.982+02:00Ninth Sunday after Pentecost (Lk. 19.41-46): "...Ninth Sunday after Pentecost (Lk. 19.41-46): "And when Jesus drew near, seeing the city [of Jerusalem], he wept over it, saying: If thou also hadst known, and that in this thy day, the things that are to thy peace; but now they are hidden from thy eyes. "Come, children, hearken to me; I will tea...+

"Come, children, hearken to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord" (from the "Gradual" of the Mass, 7th Sun after Pentecost - Ps. 33.12,6). Our Mediatrix can not but draw us only more intimately to the true God of our Catholic Tradition until we come to that perfectly intimate union in heaven with Him Who lavishly loved us. Such is Her exalted office being the depository and Dispensatrix of Him Who Is the fount and source of all good.

She draws us to Him Who Is the Truth - for to be redeemed is to be translated from the darkness of him "who stood not in the Truth" (Jn. 8.44) into the kingdom of Light. And the closer She draws us to the Light of our life the more we see both the infinite distance which separates us from the "Lord... Most High...terrible... Great King OVER ALL" (from the "Introit") on the one hand; and, GOD HIMSELF running, ON HIS OWN INITIATIVE, to meet us on our return to Him on the other. By the gift of the fear of the Lord, we are inclined to dread not so much anymore as the remembrance of our sins and our due chastisements - sufficient to bring about a conversion "but not to achieve our sanctification" (Fr. Tanquerey, S.S. in his classic "The Spiritual Life") - on account of the offense they caused Him Who Is the Infinite Good as the loss of This our Supreme Infinite Good. Therefore, true devotion to our Mediatrix leads to that traditional filial RESPECT FOR GOD; not to that Revolutionary 1789 and Vatican II "New Order" 'respect' for the 'Rights and Dignity' of Man as being championed by the Freemasons and those who march under their banner "all the while thinking they are... under the Apostolic Keys" ("Alta Vendita" or the "Masonic Blueprint for the Subversion of the Catholic Church" as exposed by the Holy See itself; cf., our post "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage") which breeds an excessive familiarity with the Sacred unto contempt - why 'mutant'/Vatican II-"New Order"-Catholics or those who claim to be the 'official Catholics' in 'full' communion with Rome of 'ecumenical' "disorientation" (having lost "the dogma of the Faith" according to the "Great Sign" who appeared at Fatima) do not bend their knees before the Most Blessed Sacrament (granting here a validly ordained Neo-Catholic "presider" at the "table" in Anglican/Episcopalian or Neo-Lutheran 'Communion Service' attire; this ministry though is never pleasing before the Divine Majesty) and then receive It with their unwashed unconsecrated hands as if It were merely a wafer-bread the tiny particles of Which they could not care less. No, our Mediatrix can not lead souls to this manifestly contemptuous practical denial - by that same diabolical spirit which inspired Protestantism - of the core of Catholic Dogma: the Divinity of the Eucharistic King.
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-83144536723573709062014-05-17T18:06:15.798+02:002014-05-17T18:06:15.798+02:00+

They who enter "the Order of the Virgin" (Our Lord to St. Teresa, in her "Colloquies") are "blessed" when "found without blemish" (from today's Lesson, Ecclus. 31.8-11) - that is, they are not only chaste in body but also in their eyes (who wait in patience to see their Beloved in His traditional Catholic sanctuary and finally in heaven through the Beatific Vision: to see God "as a man is wont to [see] his friend... face to face," Ex. 33.11, as is the orientation in our Sacred TraditionalLatinMass: both the priest and faithful face God), in their mind (to submit only to His truth revealed to us through our Sacred Tradition: 2 Thess. 2.14; 3.6), and in the delights, affections, and desires of their heart: "My son, give Me your... whole heart" (Pr. 23.26; Mt. 22.37); and, "that hath not gone after gold, nor put trust in money nor in treasures... who... could have transgressed, and hath noth transgressed: and could do evil things, and hath not done them" (from today's Lesson). Our Franciscan son of St. Peter Alcantara - a very good friend of our holy Mother Teresa of Jesus - was divinely sustained triumphantly in this by the traditional Sacraments, especially the Traditional Latin Mass. The impurities widespread not only in the apostate world but also festering the post-Vatican II 'modernist' seminaries and monasteries (even convents!) could only be an "evil fruit" (Mt. 7.18) of a "liturgy... tampered with" (Pope John Paul II, in Vatican's "L'Osservatore Romano," 7th Feb. 1981, cf., our post "Our Lady and the Diabolical Campaign") - the so-called "New Sacraments," particularly the "New 'Mass'" of the Protestant fashion in loud vulgar/ordinary dialect (as if a one whole long 'sermon') which contained a lie at the very heart of it (the 'Blood... shed FOR ALL' when Our Lord, even in the post-Vatican II 'modernist' Biblical versions, only said "FOR MANY" - why the Freemason Bugnini, the architect, in an archbishop's trappings, of the "New 'Mass'" insisted 'FOR ALL': "The New 'Catholic THEOlogy" of Vatican II, cf., our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II-'Catholicism') and presided by 'ecumenical' men of doubtfully valid "New" "tampered" ordinations in Lutheran or Episcopalian 'Communion Service' attire!
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-27790372936658097872014-01-27T01:08:42.755+01:002014-01-27T01:08:42.755+01:00Deo Gratias!

"To serve the Lord," says the Rev. Fr. Mattheo, "is to be a master of His Heart, it is to possess Him by Faith."

"He shall reign..." (Lk. 1.32). And we need Faith to recognize the rights of Jesus Christ: His sovereign - that is, total and complete - dominion over us body and soul, over our family, over nations, over all creation. But when Rome "[lost] the Faith" (Our Lady in France and in Portugal, cf., our post "The Queen of Heaven Cannot Remain Silent, So Can't We Either!") and handed over, in chastisement, to a Rotarian clown blasphemer sitting on the "Chair of the Truth" but as the dummy 'presiding officer' of the Neo-Catholic DisOrder: "there is no such thing as a Catholic God" (1st Oct interview published also by the "L'Osservatore Romano"; cf., our post "Estote Sapientes").
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-82074450350000751092013-12-17T15:45:08.097+01:002013-12-17T15:45:08.097+01:00+

"Cast out ..."The 'Unclean'"

"Cast out of the camp... whoever hath an ISSUE of seed" (Num. 5.2). Protestant and Neo-Catholic versions stop at "issue" pretending as if this refers only to a pathological condition (as in Lev. 22.4: "a man... that suffereth a RUNNING of the seed"). But St. Paul speaks of an "uncleanness" (Gal. 5.19) which excludes from the "kingdom of God" (Gal. 5.21). Certainly, those who engage in the lawful act of marriage (Lev. 15.16,18) or those who had had an unconsented nocturnal emission (Dt. 23.10) cannot be the kind of these sexually impure to be excluded from God's kingdom. This clearly refers then to those who bring this "[issuance] of seed" not for the purpose of producing children but merely for the sake of "a filthy humor [which] at every moment cleaveth to and gathereth in his flesh" (Lev. 15.3).Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-13160625986844837532013-07-17T18:51:58.721+02:002013-07-17T18:51:58.721+02:00+

All that is not of Faith is sin" (Rom. 14.23)

Our Immaculate Mother twice pointed to the Apocalyptic state of Rome - where "the Chair of the Truth" (Pope Leo XIII, in his original version of Prayer to St. Michael; cf., our post "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage"), the Chair of St. Peter is: first at La Salette in France (referring to the period immediately prior to the "consummation"; with ecclesiastical approbation in 1849) and then again at Fatima in Portugal (referring to the climax of our end-times period - a "dress rehearsal" for the period of the Antichrist; with the 'fulness' of ecclesiastical approval) - "Rome will lose the Faith and become the seat of the Antichrist" (Our Lady of La Salette); "[Not in Rome will]... the dogma of the Faith... always be preserved, etc. [becoming the seat of the organized precursors of the Antichrist; cf., our post "The Year 1929"] (Our Lady of Fatima who desired the "etc." - the Third Part of the Great Secret revealing also why Rome will lose the Faith - revealed IN 1960). See our post "Lumen Fidei - a 'faith' or the Faith".

"He that hearkeneth to me shall not be confounded..." (from the Epistle - quoted above - of the Traditional Mass of the Feast of Our Immaculate Mother of Carmel). Who, among the 'devotees' of the Most Blessed Virgin, has paid serious attention to this written prophecy of Him Who Is the Eternal Truth and which She has reiterated FOR OUR DELIVERANCE AND ETERNAL SAFETY - having seen its period already approaching? Because it speaks 'AGAINST' Rome where the Seat of the INSTITUTIONAL Church - to which they claim unswerving 'loyalty' and to which 'official' "full" communion they adhere - is? But it is Rome itself who stamped its approbation on the Apocalyptic 'sentence' pronounced 'AGAINST' it by Our Immaculate Mother - because the voice of the Blessed Mother perfectly resounds the Sacred Writ! If it takes "holy" obedience to submit to the orthodox voice of a devout "man of God" as to submit to the voice and will of God, what does it take to spurn the voice of the Mother of God and the Sovereign Queen of Heaven and earth "terrible as an army set in array?" (Cant. 6.9)

".... They that work by me shall not sin" (Ecclus. 24.30). Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalene, C.D. But we are always poor sinners, how can we justify all this confidence in God? Today's Holy Gospel (Lk. 15.1-10) explains the grounds for this justification by relating to us two parables Our Lord and Savior Himself used to teach us this confidence: the story of the lost sheep and the account of the lost drachma.

Of the two parables, the first one has the equivalent of that of the Sacred Heart: a tender figure of the good shepherd, to which Our Savior likened Himself - Our Lord and Our God coming down from heaven to search for poor human beings lost in the dark caves of error which shut them up in sin. In order to find them, rescue them, and bring them back to His own sheepfold, He does not hesitate to undergo the greatest sufferings and even death. "The thoughts of His Heart... to deliver them from death" (Ps. 32.11,19), thus the "Introit" of the Mass for the great Feast last Friday proclaims it....Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-986653022331318472013-05-04T19:47:50.774+02:002013-05-04T19:47:50.774+02:00+

Through Jesus Christ Our Lord..." (Collect).

"I know thy works, that thou hast the name of being alive: and thou art dead" (Apoc. 3.1): this reproach by Our Lord applies to a local church in particular but also to the Church in general - to the Church in her fifth of seven ages. Of Old this same reproach was already prefigured: "How is the faithful city [the INSTITUTIONAL Rome or the INSTITUTIONAL Church], that was full of judgment, become a harlot?... WOE to the sinful nation... they are gone away backwards... From the sole of the foot UP TO TOP OF THE HEAD, there is no soundness therein" (Is. 1.21,4,6). The 'official' Catholics do not find these to be against the Christian Faith: marrying non-Catholics; attending non-Catholic worship services, listening to non-Catholic pastors, or reading non-Catholic 'inspirational' works - saying, "don't we all believe in one and the same 'God'?"; to the hostile sectarians, "let's just respect each other's beliefs" [as if theirs is just as actually good, beneficial, and salutary as the sectarians']. "There shall be like people like priests" (Jl. 4.9) - there shall be like ecumenical people like ecumenical pastors.
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-63798566823855841692013-02-28T18:18:27.844+01:002013-02-28T18:18:27.844+01:00Prayer to the Holy Ghost...

Fourth Sunday after Epiphany
"All Thi...+
JMJ

Fourth Sunday after Epiphany

"All Things Fail, But the Lord of Them All Never Fails"

In today's Liturgy, especially the Holy Gospel (Mt. 8.23-27), Jesus Christ appears in our midst as the divine Ruler of the elements, the Conqueror of all tempests. "And behold a great tempest arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves." Let us think of all the persecutions which have beaten against Peter's barque, the Church, down through our chaotic Conciliar period (cf., also our posts "Anti-Christian Conspiracy: Scriptural Truth and Historical Fact", "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage", and "The Year 1929"); or we can think of the trials which God still permits individual souls to undergo. Whatever happens, the spirit of faith tells us that every struggle and tempest is willed or at least permitted by God: "Everything is grace," says our dearest "Little Therese"; everything is the result of His infinite love. God is not a tyrant Who crushes us, but a Father Who, because He loves us, exercises us to a greater and more perfect charity. If He permits sorrow, interior or exterior trials, personal or public vicissitudes, it is only to draw out of them some greater good. Virtue and goodness are strengthened in time of difficulty; the efforts made in bearing trials tend to make us surpass what we would have done had we enjoyed perfect calm.

The Lord and Savior was sleeping peacefully in the stern of the boat when the terrified Apostles awakened Him: "Lord, save us, we perish!" He answered them reproachfully, "Why are you fearful, O ye of little faith?"

If we are disturbed and upset by trials, it means that we lack faith. Even when God conceals Himself, when everything seems to fail us and we feel terribly alone, we can be absolutely certain that God will never abandon us if we do not first abandon Him. Our dearest "Little Therese" used to say, "I count on Him. Suffering may go to its limit, but I am sure He will never abandon me."

The Apostles were saved only when they called upon Jesus. As long as they labored and struggled alone, they had no success. Many times we fail to surmount difficulties because we work alone. God wants us to experience our own insufficiency; therefore, He lets us struggle until we have recourse to Him in humility - that is, in truth. Certainly, God wants our efforts but He does not want us to place all our hope in them. This accounts for the small progress so many make on the road to sanctity and perfection - too much reliance and complacency on their own resources, on their or their institution's seemingly formidable and therefore "safest" Catholic position. We must be firmly convinced that "our sufficiency is from God" (2 Cor. 3.5). We must have less confidence in ourselves and more in God. Jesus can do all things but faith, humility, confidence, and prompt obedience work miracles (cf., the Holy Gospel on the Second Sunday after Epiphany). "We receive from God much as we hope for" (St. John of the Cross, "Dark Night," Bk. II, 21.8).

"You seem, Lord, to give severe trials to those who love Thee, but only that in the excess of their trials they may learn the greater excess of Your love" (St. Teresa of Jesus, "Life," 25).
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-85323789578330678352013-02-03T08:36:52.476+01:002013-02-03T08:36:52.476+01:00+

"Theresa's Prayer"
by His Exc...+
JMJ

"Theresa's Prayer"
by His Excellency, Bishop R. Williamson

It is extraordinary how far God is lost to the great number of souls around us today. It is in him that every one of us “lives and moves and has his being” (Acts, XVII, 28). Without him we cannot lift a finger, think a thought or do any naturally good action, let alone any supernaturally good action. All that we can do by ourselves, without him, is to sin, and even then the sinful action as action comes from God, only its sinfulness comes from ourselves, because the sinfulness is in itself something not positive but defective.

Yet the mass of souls around us treat God as though he does not exist, or, if he does exist, as though he is of no importance. It is a truly incredible state of affairs. It is getting worse day by day. It cannot last. It can only be compared with the state of mankind in the time of Noah. Men’s corruption at that time was such (Gen. VI, 11-12) that unless God took away from them the use of their most precious endowment, their free-will - just see how most men react when one tries to force them to do something ! - then the only way they left for him to save any significant number of them was to inflict a universal chastisement in which they would nevertheless have time to repent. That was the Flood, a historical event proved by a mass of geological evidence.

Similarly today, a worldwide chastisement is surely, before God, the only way that mankind has left for him to save still any large number of souls from the horror of their damning themselves for eternity. As in Noah’s time, the mercy of God makes it virtually certain that the huge number of souls will be given the time and knowledge necessary to save themselves if they wish. And afterwards many of the large number that will be saved (alas, not the majority) will recognize that only that chastisement saved them from drifting with today’s corruption all the way down to Hell.

Still, it will be easy to be frightened by the explosion of the just anger of a majestic God. From miles and miles away the Israelites were terrified by a demonstration of his power on the top of Mount Sinai (Exod. XX, 18). In our own times it will be well to recall the famous prayer of St Theresa of Avila (given here with a rhyming translation into English to facilitate memorisation):

"Nada de turbe Let nothing fret you
Nade te espante Nothing upset you
Todo se pasa Everything falters
Dios no se muda God never falters
La paciencia Patience withal
Todo lo alcanza Will obtain all.
Quien a Dios tiene Who to God will cling
Nada le falta Can lack for no thing.
Solo Dios basta!" God alone sufficeth!

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I put in you all the trust I can lay my hands on. But help my lack of trust !

"Kyrie eleison."
2 February 2013

Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-83889585005913481092013-01-22T09:53:37.919+01:002013-01-22T09:53:37.919+01:00+

The proposal is being put forward again by Msgr. Muller of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

Catholics are admonished to "hold" only the Apostolic "paradoseis" (traditions), 2 Thess. 2.14. The faithful servants of the Lamb of God, Who now stands in judgment, had their foreheads sealed with the mark of God - they have the mind that it is a crime of spiritual fornication to try to adhere to both the traditions received from the Apostles on the one hand and even just "some" of the 'traditions' received from the revolutionary fathers on the other. For we have seen His star... and are come to adore Him" (Mt. 2.2).

Humility, which is common to the simple and the wise, is the condition of discovering Wisdom. If our age lacks any quality at all, it is what might be called teachableness, or what the Latins called docility.

Minds today rely principally on what they have obtained by their own perception, thought, or reading. Some fancy they can find out truth entirely by themselves and disdain the idea that they are impoverished and therefore need the instruction and guidance of that "Church, the pillar and ground of the truth" (St. Paul, First Epistle to Timothy, 3.15), that is "Constantinian-Gregorian-Tridentine-'Tirumphalistic' in its historical continuity" (cf., Prof. R. Amerio, "A Study of Changes in the Catholic Church in the 20th Century"); thinking that in its "eclipse" everyone comes to the liberty of 'speaking out one's mind': the promise of the 1789 "Enlightenment" - and that in a chaotic grand forum of endless debate and discussion. Others believe that Wisdom is synonymous with a smattering of facts; even University education has become so impregnated with research of useless facts, that it forgets research is only a means to an end, which is the discovery, possession, adherence and devotion to the Truth. It is well to remember that Herod inquired diligently where the divine Child was born. But the Wise Men understood education far better. They were men of research too, for they searched the skies - but they were humble enough to know that research was only an instrument, and so they followed a true science of the stars until it brought them to the Maker of the stars, the Wisdom of the world, and the Light of men, Who Is Christ the Lord. And had they even been "privately" (Mt. 2.7) called into the Conciliar Vatican City of the day, they, led on by Her who is the "Great Sign in heaven... bright as the sun and fair as the moon," would have understood true ecumenism far better (cf., our posts "Our 'Great Reversal'" and "'What is Truth?'") still - the ecumenism of return to that true Church in its "historical continuity" and of adoration in bended knee before the Eternal Word made flesh truly, really, and substantially present on our traditional high altar.

The modern-day Herods never find the Church as they never find the Christ - not even in their attempt to slaughter it in the press and media with the Communist propaganda: the pseudo-Catholic Church of Vatican II, the so-called "New Ecclesial Reality" or the "New 'Catholic Order'" with its Synagogue-bred-"effeminate"*-"mock-clergy"**, IS still the INSTITUTIONAL Catholic Church (cf., our post "The Year That Was 1929"); and the reason is that men never feel a tug toward the Church until they have ceased to pull against it. A deaf ear should really be turned to their attacks because they have not earned the intellectual right to attack the Church - they do not really know anything about it, nay, do not really want to treat it with a true open mind for they have stood wrong; but that is just another way again of saying we must be humble.
---
* Cf., our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations"

** Cf., our post "Anti-Christian Conspiracy: Scriptural Truth and Historical Fact"
---

Only the teachable find the Teacher, only the docile find the Doctor, only the humble find the Exalted.

[Taken, with adaptations, from the address given by Abp. Sunday Within the Octave of Christmas
(Pres...+
JMJ

Sunday Within the Octave of Christmas
(Presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple)

Today's Mass is an echo of Christmas, but while it speaks of peace and joy, it also has a note of deep sadness. The Gospel (Lk. 2.23-40) suddenly transports us to the presentation of the Child Jesus in the Temple, forty days after His birth, and repeats Simeons prophecy: "Behold this Child is set for the fall and for the resurrection of many in Israel, and for a sign which shall be contradicted."

The Son of God became man for all men; He brings and offers salvation to them, but many will not receive it. This is the great mystery of human freedom. God has made man intelligent and free; He offers him all the treasures of salvation and sanctity which would be poured forth on the Cross and applied through the Sacraments (administered according to the traditional Rite of His Church); man is free to accept or to refuse. This is our tremendous responsibility. Jesus came to save us, to sanctify us, to give Himself entirely to our souls. He is ready to do it, He wants to do it, and yet He will not do it until we FREELY accept His infinite gift, until we correspond to His loving solicitation with the free gift of our WHOLE heart, of our will. "God never forces anyone; He takes what we give Him, but does not give Himself wholly until He sees that we are giving ourselves wholly to Him," says St. Teresa of Jesus.

The prophecy of Simeon was addressed directly to Our Blessed Mother. "And thy own soul a sword shall pierce." The bloody vision of the Cross is thus mingled unexpectedly with the charming scene of the Nativity, reminding us that the tender Babe of Bethlehem is the divine Lamb Who will one day be immolated for the salvation of the world.

Related post: "A Sign of Contradiction and Division" (4th February 2012)
Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7146626046867730743.post-46999976568434602012012-12-27T16:23:18.687+01:002012-12-27T16:23:18.687+01:00+

(The Holy Gospel According to St. John, 3.15) Only the traditional Catholic Douay-Rheims Version translates thus the passage, others read "... God... GAVE..."

God continues to give us Himself for "in Him was life - the Bread of God... Which cometh down from heaven [on our traditional Christian high altar, cf., Hebrew 13.10] and giveth life to the world, 6.33 - and the Life was the Light of men" (St. John 1.4) but many did not find Him, many did not appreciate Him coming to liberate His people from their errors - from their own 'lights' - which blind them and keep them in their sins or in their spiritual 'imbecility'; they were busy with other things before God: "Amen, Amen I say to you, you seek Me... but..." (Our Lord in St. John, 6.26). And so "the Light shineth in darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it" (St. John 1.5).

"He that committeth sin of the devil: for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, THE SON OF GOD APPEARED, THAT HE MIGHT DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL" (First Epistle of St. John, v.8) and efface from us every resemblance to that filthy and proud spirit - to remake us in His image and likeness and conform us most PERFECTLY to His mind and heart: something way beyond our capability and strength therefore "... God so loved [us] AS TO GIVE [still] His only begotten Son..."

A blessed Feast to all!Ignis Deihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13437565567176172342noreply@blogger.com
