Feast of St. John Chrysostom
The Church, during the time of Pope John XXIII, prohibited with a decree on November 19, 1958 the "Divine Mercy" devotion as received by Sr. Faustina. The Holy Office condemned it, establishing that "the supernatural revelations made to Sr. Faustina is not evident."
The "devotion" graphically eliminates the Most Sacred Heart which the Chair of St. Peter had already presented as the true image of God's "Merciful Love" (St. Therese). The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, pierced with a lance, crowned with thorns, dripping with the Most Precious Blood, calls for a devotion of reparation as the successors to the Chair of St. Peter had consistently insisted (from the time of the institution of the Sacred Heart devotion) for the true God Whom an authentically orthodox Catholic Theology proclaims is the God of BOTH mercy AND JUSTICE - the divine justice must be satisfied also by reparation. The "Divine Mercy" devotion graphically eliminates therefore the Catholic concept of the "God of Justice" - demanding reparation and propitiation for sins - which forms a necessary part of the equation, so to speak, of who-the-true-God-is. And when the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) adopted the "New 'Catholic Theology'" (the New "Catholic" Orientation) with its new concept of 'god' (cf., our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'") - "only the [g]od of mercy" - it's no great surprise that Pope John Paul II, avowed advocate of Vatican II "norms and directives," defied the previous Papal ban, without satisfying the supernatural requirement, and even propagated the "devotion": for the New "Catholic" religion must have its fitting devotion!
A true and solid devotion, since it touches on an orthodox and solid Spiritual Life, must be orthodox in doctrine, that is, in conformity with the Sacred Scripture and the traditional teachings of the Church. "Indeed," says Fr. Frederick Faber of the Oratorians, "a mistake in doctrine is doubly dangerous when it is worked up into the spiritual life." And the 'double danger' is that "it poisons everything, and there is no mischief which may not be predicted of the unfortunate soul which is the subject of it" (in the spiritual classic "Growth in Holiness," p.43).

The New 'Catholic Theology' "work[ing] up into the spiritual life" of Vatican II generation of Catholics through the "Divine Mercy Devotion"
On page 23 of the book "Divine Mercy in My Soul" (The Diary of Sr. Faustina): "... And the host came out of the tabernacle and came to rest in my hands and I... placed it back in the tabernacle. This was repeated a second time, and... it happened a third time."
It is Protestant way to refer to the Sacred Specie as mere "host"; a Catholic soul with a reverential disposition towards the sacred would refer to It: "the Sacred Host." And there you have "Jesus Christ" wanting to rest in unconsecrated hands (and these same unconsecrated hands putting back the Sacred Host into the tabernacle) thereby contradicting "His" decrees* in the Sacred Scriptures that only the consecrated hands of an ordained priest may touch the sacred. The "Divine Mercy" devotion affords the priests of the New "Catholic" religion, the "Eucharistic lay ministers", and the faithful communicating standing and by the hands a fitting consolation that there is a 'god' of all mercy and tender compassion who will not condemn sacrilege!
---
* In 2 Kings [2 Samuel in Protestant versions] 6.6, we read God chastising Ocha with immediate death for he dared touch the Ark of the Covenant which contains the manna [a figure of our tabernacle with the real Manna - the Living Bread - reserved in it] with his unconsecrated hands - what more to touch the Sacred Host with unconsecrated hands! St. Paul the Apostle therefore points out: ... These things were done in a figure of us.... they are written for our correction... (1 Cor. 10.6,11).

Low Sunday (and "Novus Ordo" feast of "Divine Mercy")
Our Lady of Fatima insisted all the more on praying the Holy Rosary everyday since, together with the wearing of the Scapular, it forms part of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary which, we learn from Sr. Lucia, C.D., God offers the world to be its last lifeline. The importance of the Holy Rosary was revealed by the heavens when Our Blessed Mother appeared to St. Dominic to entrust to him the spread of the Rosary devotion, saying: "“Dear Dominic, do you know which weapon the Blessed Trinity wants to use to reform the world? I want you to know that, in this kind of warfare, the battering ram has always been the Angelic Psalter [the Angelic Salutation, Lk. 1.28] which is the foundation stone of the New Testament” (in St. Louis de Montfort, “The Secret of the Rosary”). The Holy Rosary, the "Angelic Psalter," is our weapon against the diabolical warfare of subtle deception given that the devotion to the Holy Rosary was instituted as the Holy Church was then being menaced by the Albigensian heresy. Our Lady of Fatima insisted on the Holy Rosary as our present warfare is against the heightened "diabolical disorientation."
The "Divine Mercy" devotion is suspect also as to its supernatural origin for its "Divine Mercy Chaplet", to be said on the beads of the Holy Rosary, is a subtle substitution for - a subtle doing away with - the "Angelic Salutation", heaven's "battering ram" against the devil, the ancient infernal deceiver. The New 'Catholic Theology' - current in today's Seminaries with the New 'Mass' for its expression - no longer treats the devil as the Christian adversary intent on the eternal perdition of souls together with him (cf., our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'" and also Fr. Gabriel Amorth, Vatican's Chief Exorcist, on the New "Rite of Exorcism" revised according to the New 'Catholic Theology' in our post "Our Lady and the Diabolical Campaign").
Based on my own understanding, the introduction of the devotion to the Divine Mercy doesn't disregard the role of God as the God of Justice. In relation to this, such devotion's claim that His mercy will stand out sprung forth from the reason that He desires to save souls from damnation...(it did not said that a soul will be free from atonement/reparation)...provided, however, that they will say a sincere act of contrition and this chaplet will be recited. Again, it doesn't guarantee that a soul will be spared from paying all his/her earthly sins.. He is merciful in the sense that he will do whatever logical and good way is possible to save us..in this case, through His mercy. God is still just, for He won't let a soul enter His kingdom without getting all sins atoned in the purgatory..
ReplyDeleteChris, on the notion that *"He is merciful...[H]e will do whatever logical and good way is possible to save us"*: "God is merciful because He is just, and He is just because He is merciful" (St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face). There was nothing 'logical' with the Passion and Death on the Cross of the Innocent. The devil tempted the Savior away from the Cross with 'logic' and with these other 'good' ways of winning the world which abandoned itself to the dominion of Satan: socio-economic amelioration and the philanthropy of economic provision - the primacy of the economic, exemption (read: rebellion) from the natural law, and the current 'Catholic' compromise for a 'peaceful' [ecumenical] coexistence between the "City of God" and that of Satan.
DeleteThe Merciful Savior on the Cross showed that THE reasonable and THE good way to save us is to submit to God's choice of the Cross and His reason behind that choice. God knew that we could never bear the chastisement His justice demanded for our sins and therefore He spared us but then exacted the demand for expiation AND reparation just the same - through the Blood of the Innocent. This is the picture of God's "Merciful Love" (St. Therese) which the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord beats for God and for us. But the picture behind Sr. Faustina's "Divine Mercy": in a book published by the Cerf Publications (operated by the Friars Preachers or the Dominicans) entitled "Fifteen Bishops Profess the Faith of the Catholic Church" [three of these fifteen are cardinals], the Bishop of Arras in France writes, "It is said [by the "pre-Vatican II Church"] that the sacrifice of the Mass was made to offer satisfaction - that horrible word, satisfaction..." The 'Catholic' Bishop asserts, as Abp. Lefebvre puts it, "that the [term 'satisfaction'] originated in a medieval idea that represents God the Father as needing blood for the remission of our sins, as if God were a blood-thirsty executioner who wants to immolate His Son and Who wants His Son's [innocent] Blood."
Now, contrition is not the whole of conversion but only a necessary yet INTERNAL part of it. The Protestant and the New 'Catholic' translations (with the approval of the episcopal Conferences) would be content with "repentance". But THE Catholic translation quoting the Merciful Savior: "Poenitentiam agite!" ("Do penance!") - for the Word of God cannot be but consistent with His appeals of Old.
We understand that the "Catholic instinct" would be to submit to the pastors but let us be on guard against running along lines parallel to the modern 'philosophy' of Descartes: "Cogito, ergo sum!" ("I think, therefore I am!") - that is, it is by the force of our mind [we're not God and can never be] that make things what they are or that reality is what we think it is - just so that we could do away with the fact of apparent contradictions [the Church is both human and divine and so long as its members are on earth, what could go wrong with its human element needs no justification] or that these same seeming contradictions will not press us to re-think Catholicism. "Be sober and watch: because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, goeth about... transforming himself into an angel of light... seeking whom he may devour. Whom resist ye... stand[ing] fast, and hold[ing] the traditions which you have learned" (1 Pet. 5.8; 2 Cor. 11.14; 2 Thess. 2.14).
I only have this question in mind: "If only the consecrated hands of the priests are allowed to touch the Eucharist, then why is it that the lay ministers are allowed to give it during communion? And why are some parishioners receiving the host through their hands?"
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS
It's useless to insist traditional Catholic discipline (with the traditional Catholic principles that underlie it) towards the Sacred in a system presenting a facade marked with some vestiges of Catholicism yet underground, down to its foundation, is the well-spring of diabolical mockery of God.
DeleteThe Holy Rosary, if I'm not mistaken, is the second most powerful prayer (the Holy Mass is the first). Yes, I believe that this fact must not be set aside..
ReplyDeleteI saw lots of chaplets..and most of them are patterned in the way the rosary is prayed. But...does it really mean to have the intention of replacing the Angelic Psalter? Sorry for my ignorance...
But if we pray both the Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, I think there's no way that the Rosary will be disregarded.... =). Please, kindly correct me if I have said anything wrong,,,GOD BLESS
The devil does not make a harvest of souls by making his evil intention explicit. During the "entrustment" of the "world" to the Immaculate Heart in October 2000 by Pope John Paul II, the public recitation of the Rosary at the Vatican most conspicuously OMITTED this prayer prescribed by Our Lady of Fatima as an addition to Her holy Rosary: "O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, SAVE US FROM THE FIRES OF HELL...." And please refer back to our last note on our reply to your first comment. God bless!
