"I will dwell in the midst of them..."

Sunday within the Octave of Corpus Christi

I will dwell in the midst of them... and will be their God
(Ex. 25.8; 29.45).

This Sunday in the Neo-Catholic calendar is observed rather the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

Traditional Catholic solemn celebration of the Feast: observed on a Thursday - it was on Holy Thursday did Our Lord fulfill His promise to give us the Living Bread That gives eternal life and fulfill also the figure of Old: the unbloody sacrifice by the Eternal High Priest according to the order of Melchisedech (Ps. 109.4, DRV) of the most holy of all the sacrifice", the Loaf of proposition (Lev. 24.9); honors only the Sacred Body - the honor to the Most Precious Blood is given in a separate Feast (July 1); Catholics on the streets BEND THEIR KNEES AND ADORE as GOD passes before them; in Rome, the Most Blessed Sacrament as the Sovereign King of Heaven and earth Who comes to dwell in the midst of the New Israel (cf., 3 K 6.13) is borne aloft while His Vicar, the Sovereign Pontiff, holds It kneeling down and adoring.

Whereas, the Neo-Catholic celebration: transferred to the following Sunday (except in Rome); celebrates both the consecrated bread and wine - the Feast of the Precious Blood abolished; and...

...the faithful STANDING - they may rhetorically claim that they still profess Jesus Christ to be true God but their neglect of kneeling in adoration before Him actually denies it! See how the New 'Mass' in the vernacular - ostensibly to make them UNDERSTAND the Catholic Religion - made them understand something else: "[a semblance] but NOT THE REAL THING..." (Dr. Bella Dodd, ex-Communist Secretary-General who renounced Communism and embraced the Catholic Faith, in our post "The Year 1929").
