The Great Battle

Begone, Satan!
(Mt. 4.10)

The true Great Battle does not consist in trimming down sins - as is the shallow perception in the "New 'Catholic' Church" or the Vatican II 'Church' (and this after more than 55 years of an 'understood' New 'Mass' - which, even in its appearance, is but a Protestant fellowship-meal in the local language of church-goers); it is life-long battle against sin and its very roots: the disordered cravings of the flesh for pleasures, against pride and vanity, and against the subtle deceptions of the ancient infernal enemy - the devil - by way of allurements (half-truths and seeming goods). In this Battle, the Christ routed the ancient liar and deceiver by the Truth - but how the "New 'Catholic Church'" lost the Battle by entering into a 'respectful dialogue' with the devil (a big no, no in Exorcism) and the culture of his "New World Order":

Notice how, in today's Holy Gospel, the Eternal Word reveals to us the manner through which the ancient enemy, that is, the devil, makes us prey to him who, as a roaring lion, goeth about unceasingly, day and night, seeking whom he may devour (1 Pet. 5.8).

Concupiscence of the flesh: “Command that these stones be made bread” (Mt. 4.3) - why should not the Christ and His adherents rather attend in meeting the practical needs of peoples “by which all live, without which everything would be as dead” (St. Augustine) and as maddening? Which means today: more lucrative opportunities and the most pleasurable sensual experience.

Pride and vanity: “Cast Thyself down [from the pinnacle]... that... His angels... shall bear thee up, lest perhaps thou dash thy foot against a stone” (Mt. 4.5,6). Which means today: “Want more followers – more 'likes, shares, and retweets'? Make yourself a most impressionable 'selfie' star; show your 'true colors' - don't care about how strange may be your preference; why, [g]od made you that way.

Avarice: 'See all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them...All these will I give thee, if falling down thou wilt adore me' (Mt. 4.9). Which means today: “You want to live in my paradise of a New World Order where there is prosperity, liberty of self expression and conscience, equal rights for all, and brotherhood built on mutual respect of one's personal beliefs? You cannot insist that its skylines be dominated anymore by the Cross and you must be willing to fulfill only your Catholic things on days, times, and circumstances I determine to be not in conflict with its New culture of work and leisure [the devil here does not outrightly demand the renunciation of the Cross and the primacy of the demands of Catholic sanctity and perfection].

The ancient liar and deceiver ensnares us by what is seemingly true and good. He pounds therefore on our first contact point with Him Who Is the Truth and the Supreme Good: our mind – darkened and weakened by Original Sin. He spews on it seemingly laudable principles and viewpoint: all half-truths; and, stirs up our imagination to dominate that which is the highest power of the soul, clouding and making it preoccupied rather with revolutionary sensual impressions – than with the ever-valid truths of the Catholic Faith and other truths or principles derived from them which make us think and see with Our Lord (which is to have the sign of the Living God, Apoc. 7.2, in their foreheads, Apoc. 7.3 – where they were signed by the Cross in Baptism, the Sacrament of Faith, and then again at their Confirmation in the Faith).

Therefore, Our Lord shows us also how we are to crush and rout the devil. By recourse to the Word of God – the foundation of the saving Catholic or Universal Faith, preached in all the creation that is under heaven (Col. 1.23) – for Faith... cometh by hearing; and hearing, by the word of Christ (Rom. 10.17). If everything that is not of the Word of God is sin, so all that is not of Faith is sin (Rom. 14.23).

To have recourse to the Word of God is, normally, to listen to and obey the episkopoi or the bishops (cf., Acts 20.28) whom the Spirit of Truth appointed to rule the church of God (ibid.). But when they were about to walk not according to the Faith, as St. Paul the Apostle prophesied: of themselves shall arise men speaking perverse things (Acts 20.30) – which also means walking disorderly, and not according to the traditions [of the Apostles], 2 Thess. 3.6 – He sent us the Immaculata (cf., our post The Great Sign in Heaven) that we should not follow pastors of “diabolical disorientation” starting in 1960 (cf., "Our Lady and the Disorientation of Rome") when they would silence the Holy See from thundering anathemas (cf., Pope John XXIII on the "New" way of being Vatican II Church in The Great Tribulation) – except against Catholics who hear the Word in standing fast and holding the Apostolic traditions – into preaching “ecumenism” [Vatican II teaching that Catholics and unbelievers all worship one and the same (g)od: “they are one with us in worshipping the one merciful [g]od” - the 'pontifex' in the first (pseudo-)Encyclical of his modern-day antipapacy, “Gaudium Evangelii,” n. 252], cf., Paul VI in our post "Our Great Reversal".

Of Old, He already foretold of this our great battle under the mantle of the Immaculata: She shall crush the infernal serpent's head (Gen. 3.15) – that is, the devil's perverted angelic intellect: the sewer of all the half-truths which have now converged into such a synthesis in the 'modernist'-conditioned de-Catholicized mind no longer shrinking in disgust with and abhorrence of the “basest perversion” (St. John Chrysostom in our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations") in the air everywhere: homosexual behavior is a 'natural' mode of being, hence not only must be accepted but also 'respect'-ed and protected [the Masonic 1789 'Enlightenment' with its 'Rights of Man' is built on 'naturalism' – the proud assertion that there's nothing wrong with human nature: Catholic teaching of Original Sin was a myth, no thanks to Christ and His mission, which the Church is to carry on until the consummation, of redeeming man from the dominion of the devil through pride, the vain allurements of the world and the disordered cravings of the flesh]. Unfortunately, a thousand... fell at Her side, and ten thousand at Her right hand (from the Tract of today's Liturgy, Ps. 90): a horrible figure for the maintream nominal 'Catholics', the so-called “Vatican II Church,” who have, silently or tacitly, come to terms with this “New World Order” 'culture' – why the Apocalytic sentence of the Eternal Word pronounced against a church, thou hast the name of being alive and thou art dead (3.1), appplies to them. “If one is gay and he seeks the will of God, who am I to judge,” says their 'pontifex' – well, one who abandons himself to his disordered sexual attraction, subscribing to its Masonic justification by 'naturalism', and yet said to be seeking still the will of God is a delusion only of a sick (Is. 1.5)-headed 'modernist' mind: the effeminate and liers with mankind... shall not possess the kingdom of God (1 Cor. 6.10). They have lost the flavor of Christ's salutary salt (Mt. 5.13).
