Catholic Resistance, No Disobedience

Home of the original online "Catholic Resistance" #CatholicResistance

We cannot pursue a course of disobedience - for in principle it is the way of the perverted proud spirit. However, Catholic obedience to their legitimate superiors is not an absolute end and not even an absolute means; but, a limited means: our Holy Father and the Bishops in true communion with him received grace and apostleship for obedience to the Faith as St. Paul teaches (Rom. 1.5). Accordingly, when the Prince of the Apostles in his episode of exhibiting grave public scandal - his dissimulation (Gal. 2.13) - threatened the integrity of the Faith, St. Paul PUBLICLY RESISTED him. I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed (Gal. 2.11).

St. Augustine
Referring to the same episode, St. Augustine wrote (Epistle 19 to Jerome): "By teaching that superiors should not refuse to be reprehended by inferiors [esp. ecclesiastics and clerics of the lower rank - note is ours] Saint Peter gave posterity an example more rare and holier than that of Saint Paul as he taught that, in defense of truth and with charity, inferiors may have the audacity to RESIST superiors without fear." St. Thomas Aquinas (ST IIaIIae, q. 33, a.4): "There being an imminent danger for the Faith, prelates MUST be questioned, EVEN PUBLICLY, by their subjects. Thus, Saint Paul, who was a subject of Saint Peter, questioned him publicly on account of an imminent danger of scandal in a matter of Faith. And, as the 'Glossa' of Saint Augustine puts it ("to the Galatians" 2,14), 'Saint Peter himself gave the example to those who govern so that if sometime they stray from the right way, they will not reject a correction as unworthy even if it comes from their subjects." And,St. Robert Bellarmine ("On the Roman Pontiff," Bk II, Ch. 9): "Just as it is licit to resist the Pontiff that aggresses the body, it is also LICIT TO RESIST the one who aggresses the souls... or, above all, who attempts to destroy the Church [the Doctor conceded to the possibility of a PAPAL ATTEMPT to destroy the Church - note ours]. I say that it is licit to resist him by not doing what he orders and preventing his will* from being executed; it is not licit, however, to judge, punish or depose him [the Sedevacantist position], since these are acts proper to a superior."

* As the suppression by Pope Paul VI of the Traditional Rite of the Sacraments and of Sacramentals, the abominable Assisi Meetings presided by Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI, and the falsification by Pope Benedict XVI of the position of the Traditional Latin Mass from being "the norm of the Roman Rite for all eternity" (Pope St. Pius V decreeing ex cathedra) into a mere "extra[in Latin, literally, "out of"]ordinary" one, exalting what he himself (when he was still Cardinal Ratzinger of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith) called a "fabricated liturgy" to be the norm.
---
St. Robert Bellarmine
We are not then in "open/formal disobedience" but in "licit" Catholic Resistance. If there were in truly, really, and formally* "open disobedience"    TO THE VOICE OF CHRIST (which is the ultimate and absolute end of Catholic obedience to legitimate superiors) reflected through the CONSISTENT teachings and judgments of the Chair of Peter they are the great number (MANY..., cf., Mt. 7.22) of Neo-Catholic pastors who persist in a scheme of things other than the Order constituted by God under the sovereign dominion of Christ the King.
---
* Formal schism (schism in its true sense, that is, schism in principle: the Roman Pontiff has no sovereign rule over the Universal Church - the still un-repented crime of the Schismatic Greeks after decades of Vatican II 'ecumenism'), if that is what is meant by "formal disobedience," can not be canonically equated with "open disobedience."

"... The RELIGIONS on the path to God"
- Pope Benedict XVI, Epiphany 2013
"Wither goest thou... Peter?"
What concord hath Christ with Belial?
Or what part hath the faithful with the unbeliever?
(2 Cor. 6.15)

"But this Catholic Dogma is equally well-known:
that none can be saved outside the Catholic Church and that
those who knowingly rebel against the teaching of the Church
cannot obtain eternal salvation."
- Pope Pius IX, Quanto Conficiamur Moerore, 10th Aug. 1863
"The Apostolic See cannot on any terms take part in...
support, or to work for such enterprises...
Shall we suffer... the truth, and a truth divinely revealed,
to be made a subject for compromise?"
- Pope Pius XI, Mortalium Animos, 6th Jan. 1928

"....The Roman Pontiff... may nonetheless be contradicted if he be found to have deviated from the Faith. Remembering also that, where danger is greater, it must more fully and more diligently be counteracted... lest We seem to be dumb watchdogs [cf., Is. 56.10] that cannot bark and lest We perish with the wicked husbandman and be compared with the hireling" (Pope Paul IV, "Cum ex...,"
15 Feb. 1559)
The Word of God is LIVING and effectual, and more piercing than any two-edged sword (Heb. 4.12). Thus, the episodes wherein Our Lord gravely rebuked Peter, Go behind Me, Satan, thou art a scandal unto Me; because thou savourest not the things that are of God, but the things that are of men (Mt. 16.23) and Peter wandered afar off (Mt. 26.58: Jn. 19.26-27) the foot of the Cross can not be considered to be frozen "historical narratives" as the Neo-Catholic authorities would have us. They have been repeated in history. But we'd rather stay at the foot of the Cross than wander afar off with Peter (cf., "Wither goest thou... Peter?", "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage", "What Is Truth?", "Pope Benedict XVI's 'Motu Proprio' on the Latin Mass: 'Toleration [of EVIL]'", "Obey God Rather Than Men", "Our Lady and the Disorientation of Rome in the 1960s"). We pray, however, that he, soon, returns - that is, that he desist in pursuing the ecumenical disorientation of search for that elusive 'church' which he (as Cardinal Ratzinger) claimed to be "a broader entity THAN the Catholic Church" (cf., "Our Lady and the New Orientation in Rome in the 1960s") and exercise his Sovereign Apostolic Authority to finally exorcise "the smoke of Satan" (Pope Paul VI, cf., "Our Lady and the Diabolical Campaign") that has seized the Sanctuary and institutions of the Church, to depose the "mock-prelates-and-priests" infiltrated by the Synagogue of Satan (Apoc. 2.9;3.9) through its dummies (the Freemasons and the Communists, cf., "Anti-Christian Conspiracy: Scriptural Truth & Historical Fact", "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage", "The Year That Was 1929", and "Upheaval"), and to destroy the Neo-Catholic "table," upon which is offered the abomination of desolation (Mt. 24.15), that is, the "Novus Ordo Missae" or the "New 'M[e]ss'" of the Freemason Annibale Bugnini (cf., "The Catholic Sanctuary... II"), and 'sanctuary' dedicated to the false Christ of the Neo-Catholic 'Theology' (cf., "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'").

  2. Hello. I am very interested in the carmelite order. I'd like to know if there is still a traditional carmelite father out there, and if he has the succesion from the order.

Amigo, Rev. Friar John will soon be. Yes, he has the succession, with traditionally ordained priests around still when he was received and clothed with the Habit. He is in the Philippines, at the Seminary under the SSPX-Resistance Fathers. May Our Lady guide you.
