'Pontifex' Proclaims the Neo-Catholic 'Gospel' of 'Universal Salvationism'

Feast of St. Bede the Venerable
Confessor and Doctor of the Church

In the Office of Prime for yesterday's solemn Feast of the Most Holy Trinity, the "Canticum Quicumque" - the "Athanasian Symbol/Creed" follows the Psalms before the Antiphon is repeated. The first two strophes profess:

Quicumque vult salvus esse,
Whosoever willeth to be saved,
ante omnia opus est, ut teneat Catholicam Fidem:
must before all else adhere to the Catholic Faith:
Quam nisi quisque integram inviolatamque servaverit,
Which Faith except everyone do keep whole and undefiled,
absque dubio in aeternum peribit.
without doubt he shall perish eternally.

In his homily last Wednesday, Pope Francis stated - as an unabashedly 'Modernist' theologian but not in the capacity of the Sovereign* Pontiff teaching infallibly "ex cathedra" - that "all people, not just Catholics, are redeemed through Jesus Christ, even atheists..."
---
Pope Francis, to begin with, like Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI, was not crowned with the Papal tiara - the Roman Pontiff as a mere figure-head-chief-"presider" of the counterfeit/"pseudo-[Church]" (the Neo-Catholic Disorder or the 'official INSTITUTIONAL Church' that was the fruit of the 1789 and 1917 Revolutions (taking 'humanism' for facade) that prevailed in the Second Vatican Council - held from 1962-1965; cf., "The Year 1929", see also "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage") can not stand there as the Vicar of Christ clothed with the supreme Apostolic authority promulgating the scripts issued by the "superforce of the anti-Church... lodged in the Vatican" (the late Fr. Malachi Martin, SJ, in our post "The Year 1929") - as can be seen with the use of "I, in virtue of my Apostolic power [at times, "authority"]..." which is not the formal manner by which the Sovereign Pontiff would establish "Acta Sanctae Sedis" (the Acts of the Holy See) - otherwise, he would be stricken dead by the finger of God before he could do so.
---

Pope Francis insists still on the 'Modernist' lie that was once at the very heart of the counterfeit/pseudo-Mass  [especially the New 'Mass' the whole of it said in the vulgar/vernacular tongue] invented by a Freemason (Annibale Bugnini, cf., our post "The Catholic Sanctuary... II") - in the Neo-formulary of the consecration of the wine: "... Shed for you and FOR ALL" (nowhere to be found as spoken even by their Neo-Christ in their Neo-Catholic Bibles). In comparison, the "Bible-only" sectarians still insist on the lie Luther inserted into his own Bible version but which was long stricken out in the Protestant Bibles: that "faith ALONE saves" (nothing in the Greek MSS can there be found the word "alone" juxtaposed to "faith").

Why "FOR ALL," we refer the readers to our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'" (see also Cardinal Ratzinger on 'Universal Salvationism' in our post "What is Truth?"). Pope Francis, as with the 'Modernists', dissolves here the theological distinction (of the school of St. Thomas Aquinas - which 'Modernists' hate) established by the dogmatic Council of Trent:

"... If we look to the VALUE of [Our Lord's Passion and Death], we must confess that the Redeemer shed His Blood for the salvation of all; but if we look to the FRUIT [the redemption referred to above] which mankind have received [applied Sacramentally] from it, we shall easily find that it pertains not unto all, but to many of the human race.... When He added, and for many, He wished to be understood to mean the remainder of the elect....

With reason, therefore, were the words 'for all' not used, as in this place the fruits of the Passion are alone spoken of, and to the elect only did His Passion bring the fruit of salvation. And this is the purport of the Apostle [St. Paul] when he says: Christ was offered once to exhaust the since of many [Heb. 9.28]; and also of the words of our Lord in John: I pray for them; I pray not for the world, but for them whom Thou hast given Me, because they are Thine [17.9]." (The Roman Catechism/The Catechism of the Council of Trent, on "The Eucharist", TAN Books 1982 ed., pp. 227-8)

The "catch" according to Pope Francis: "Just do good and we'll find a meeting point." "Catholic Online" (catholic.org) has an interesting 'Modernist' commentary on this point laid down by the Bishop of Rome that serves to 'enlighten' us as to the actual take of the 'Modernist' mind on those fool[s] who [say] in [their] heart: there is no God (Ps. 13.1, DRV) - that "the Holy Father was not teaching anything new[!] In fact this hope that all who do not yet know God are not only capable of doing good - but will progress toward that knowledge of God by doing good [!] - is ancient [!]" The wickedness of atheists (which consists in their very principle: that God manifest Himself as we expect it, "IF God really exists..." - God serving their condition and ends - but God would not, therefore...) is now justified (The Good Goats in our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'") the Neo-Catholic 'Morality'-wise: a fault flowing from ignorance (but Catholic Morality: it must be invincible ignorance). The 'Modernist' justification which, here, takes up the position of "negative atheism"* therefore attacks the Catholic dogma on the natural knowability of the existence of God from created things: "God, our Creator and Lord, can be known with certainty, by the natural light of reason from created things" (De fide) - the First Vatican Council declared: "If anybody says that the one true God, Our Creator and Lord cannot be known with certainty in the light of human reason by those things which have been made, anathema sit [Gal. 1.8]!"
---
* An inculpable and invincible ignorance regarding the existence of God is denied: "not possible for a long time in a normal, grown-up person, in view of the facility of the natural knowledge attested in Holy Writ and in Tradition" (Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma).
---

'Good deeds' are here insisted to be supernatural virtues already (in view of the pseudo-redemption - the 'universalist salvationism' - of the Neo-Catholic 'Theology': the subjects referred to are considered incorporated members of Christ whether they like it or not) when in all reality, under the light of our Sacred Tradition, the good deeds they are still naturally capable of are mere natural virtues not meritorious of eternal life for cut off from Christ they are dead branches to be cast into the fire (cf., Jn. 15.6). Abide in Me [but they would not, rejecting the Faith]... as the branch can not bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I Am the Vine, you the branches... without Me you can do nothing [mere natural virtues are nothing] (Jn. 15.4,5).

Note how, for the 'Modernists', those extra Ecclesiam (those outside the Church) no longer need the light of the Catholic Faith - and therefore of the traditional Catholic Mission - for them to arrive easily with all certainty and without admixture of error at that most saving knowledge of God. But the true God of our Sacred Tradition will have all men to be saved, AND come to the knowledge of the Truth (1 Tim. 2.4). Without this knowledge of and adherence to the saving Truth, deeds of the supernatural Christian virtue of charity meriting eternal life is impossible for truth worketh charity (cf., Gal. 5.6)  This is how "Catholic Online" - and any 'loyal' and 'devoted' Neo-Catholic for that matter - ends in trying to prove, following the so-called 'hermeneutic of continuity' of Benedict XVI, that the material contradiction of a sick head (cf., Is. 1.5) is still a truth of our Sacred Tradition: substituting one's 'theologism' - a fable - for the Catholic Faith; one falls into that absurdity of disproving something the absurdity of which is already self-evident!

Let us not be deceived. All [will] be judged who have not believed the truth [what more those who are resisting the truth?] for by refusing and resisting the truth they have consented to iniquity (2 Thess. 2.11) - that is, all their 'good deeds' of kindness and philanthrophy are nothing but iniquity - evil - before the eyes of the true God (cf., also Mt. 7.21-23).

"By the finger of God..."

+
J.M.J.

Thursday after Pentecost

At that time Jesus, calling together the twelve Apostles, gave them power and authority over all devils... (from today's Holy Gospel, Lk. 9.1-6).

Yesterday (cf., our post "Seekest thou Me?"), Holy Church showed us the working of the Holy Ghost upon those whom He regenerated in Our Lord: that they may discern the Flesh of the living God-Man in the consecrated Host Which is given to nourish and sustain their Spiritual Life unto eternal life; and, corollary to it, to discern also the "Hostiam puram, Hostiam sanctam, Hostiam immaculatam" (the "pure, holy, and immaculate Victim" - from "Unde et memores..." of the Canon of the true Catholic Mass, abolished in the New 'Mass') from the "polluted bread" (Mal. 1.7) of the counterfeit New 'Mass' (And no wonder, says St. Paul the Apostle, ... Satan transformeth himself into an angel of light, 2 Cor. 11.14; that is, a counterfeit 'Mass' - a counterfeit work devised by a Freemason - follows the deceiver, the spirit of deceit, who is the master of Freemasons who, according to Pope Leo XIII, constitute "the city of Satan.").

In today's Holy Gospel, Holy Church shows us the primary pastoral care that is the working of the Holy Ghost in the Apostles and their successors (on apostolic succession, cf., Ac 1.25-26): to cast out and crush all devils (with all their powers and influences) - power is given them - just as the Savior appeared that He might destroy the works of the devil (1 Jn. 3.8) through the Holy Ghost, the finger of God (Lk. 11.20). After Vatican II (1962-1965) and with the New Rite of Episcopal Consecration (1968), who among the bishops of the New Episcopal Consecration and New 'Catholic' Orientation take the same action to be their primary pastoral care? Men who appear in bishop's regalia but repudiate and scoff at such primary pastoral work of a true Catholic bishop are "false apostles, deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ" (2 Cor. 11.13) - how can they work against their master, Satan, who transformeth himself into an angel of light? The Apostles and their successors are given also "authority" over all devils - that is, to command the subtly deceitful spirits in the name of Christ to reveal themselves for what they really are with all their schemes and snares.

Seekest thou Me?

+

Ember Wednesday after Pentecost

I Am the Living Bread which came down from Heaven. If any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My Flesh for the life of the world (from today's Holy Gospel). This discourse of Our Lord on Him as the Living Bread for the life of the world was preceded by the miracle of the multiplication of loaves after which the multitude sought for the Savior Who replies to them: Amen, amen I say to you, you seek Me... because you were filled... (Jn. 6.26).

Alas, many Catholics sought for Our Lord in their churches that they might be filled not with Him and His Spirit (that they might be more and more perfectly conformed to Him - to His mind and heart; that they might be more and more filled with His light and their hearts more and more purified and expanded by the fire of divine love) but with those kind of 'blessings' that actually make them feel good, happy, and 'lucky'. Our Lord Who comes into our midst was appreciated for something else other than Himself. Therefore, a chastisement was prophesied: The Victim and... the continual Sacrifice... shall fail... shall be taken away... and the abomination of desolation shall be set up... in the Holy Place (Dan. 9.27; 12.11; Mt. 24.15) - traditionally, the continual Sacrifice that would FAIL refers to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass (cf., the Catholic Haydock Bible in Mt. 24.15); that is, supplanted by the New 'Mass' devised by a Freemason in ecclesiastical trappings (Annibale Bugnini) and is now the norm or "the ordinary" in the Sanctuary (cf., our post "The Catholic Sanctuary... II")! But those blessed Catholics who have the eyes of an "eagle," wheresoever the Body shall be... [there] shall [they]also be gathered together (Mt. 24.28, see the Douay-Rheims Version) - they will be tested as the gold is purified by fire according to the standard of the Crucified: how far will they generously go for their Beloved? Not an easy life for the continuation of the Lord's reply to the multitude bids them: LABOR... for the Meat... which endureth unto life everlasting, which the Son of Man will give you (Jn. 6.27). Labor..., and so now the Eagles must "flee to the mountains" (Mt. 24.16) away from their 'comfort zones'.

Christian Doctrinal Instruction: The Holy Ghost - the Third Person of the Holy Trinity

+
J.M.J.

Feast of Pentecost

The Theophany after the baptism of Jesus is regarded as a Revelation of the Most Holy Trinity. Mt. 3.16ff: He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and coming upon Him and behold a Voice from Heaven saying: This Is My Beloved Son in Whom I Am well pleased. The speaker is God the Father. Jesus is the Son of God, in fact the only one and therefore the true and proper Son of God; for the words beloved Son in Scriptural language means usually only son (cf., Gen. 22.2,12,16; Mk. 12.6). The Holy Ghost appears under a special symbol as an independent, personal Essence side by side with the Father and the Son.

In His solemn address at the Last Supper, Jesus promises another Helper (Paraclitus), the Holy Ghost or the Spirit of Truth, Whom He Himself AND the Father would send. Jn. 14.16: And I will ask the Father: and He shall send you another Paraclete that He may abide with you forever (cf., Jn. 14.26 and 15.26). The Holy Ghost Who Is sent, is clearly distinguished as a Person from the Father and the Son Who send Him. The apellation Paraclitus and the activities attributed to Him (teaching, giving witness) presuppose His personal subsistence.

In the Trinitarian formula of Christian Baptism - in which the mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is most clearly manifested - Mt. 28.19: Going therefore, teach ye all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, the unity of essence of the Three Persons is indicated by the singular form in the Name.

The Holy Ghost:

1) is a real Person. This is testified to by the Trinitarian formula of Baptism, the name Paraclitus = helper, representative which belongs to a person only (Jn. 14.16,26; 15.26; 16.7). Cf., 1 Jn. 2.1 in which Christ is called our Paraclitus (= representative, advocate with the Father), and by the fact that personal attributes are ascribed to the Holy Ghost; for example, the teaching of truth (Jn. 14.16; 16.13), the giving of testimony for Christ (Jn. 15.26), the knowledge of the mysteries of God (1 Cor. 2.10), the forecasting of future events (Jn. 16.13; Ac 21.11), the installation of episcopoi (the bishops), Ac 20.28.

2) is a Person distinct from the Father and the Son. This is attested by the Trinitarian formula of Baptism, the appearance of the Holy Ghost at the baptism of Jesus under a special symbol, and especially the parting discourses of Jesus, in which the Holy Ghost is distinguished, as one Who Is given or sent, from the Father and the Son Who send Him (Jn. 14.16,26; 15.26).

The Holy Ghost proceeds from the Father AND the Son. The Greeks, who denied this article of Faith and fell away from the Church through schism in A.D. 867 and A.D. 1053 fell under the Mohammedan yoke in the year 1453, and strangely enough on the feast of Pentecost.

3) is a Divine Person. The Name Holy Ghost and the Name God are used alternately. Ac 5.3ff: Ananias, why has Satan tempted thy heart that thou shouldst lie to the Holy Ghost? Thou hast not lied to men, but to God (1 Cor. 3.16; 6.19ff). In the Trinitarian formula of Baptism, the Holy Ghost is made equal to the Father and to the Son who are truly God. Again, Divine attributes are ascribed to the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost possesses the fullness of knowledge: He teaches all truth, presages future things, searches the innermost secrets of God (1 Cor. 2.10) and has inspired the Prophets of Old (2 Pet. 1.21; cf., Ac. 1.16).

"The Holy Ghost," says Tertullian, "is God of God, as light is of light." St. Cyril of Alexandria compares the Holy Ghost in His likeness to the Father and the Son, to the vapor arising from water, which is like in its nature to the water producing it. St. Isidore, commenting on these words of Christ:  I drive out devils through the finger of God, says that as the finger is of the same nature as the body, so the Holy Ghost is of the nature of God. St. Athanasius writes that the Holy Ghost is called the finger of God, because it is only through Him that the Father and the Son enter into communication with men. Through Him it was that the tables of stone were written. In the second General Council of Constantinople in A.D. 381, it was defined that the Holy Ghost is eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, almighty in opposition to the heresy of Macedonius.

A most blessed Feast to all!

In This World But Not Of This World

Vigil of Pentecost

St. Simon Stock
Confessor of the Order of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel who received the Scapular
(16th May, transferred yesterday)

In today's Holy Gospel (the Vigil of Pentecost), Our Lord will come to and abide in His disciples through the coming of the gift of the Holy Ghost. In the Holy Gospel for the Feast of St. Simon Stock, He tells us the necessary preparations for God meeting us at the threshold of our soul: purity (let your loins be girt, Lk. 12.35) - that there be no thoughts, desires, affections, delights, and movements of the bodily senses contrary to the Christian laws all of which direct us to the love of our one and only Good: Jesus (cf., Jn. 14.15, from today's Holy Gospel); and, our lives at the service of the Truth (lamps BURNING in your hands, Lk. 12.35) - for Truth, that which is objective and therefore external to us (not that which is "for me"), leads us to the Good by much renunciation and subordination of everything contrary and secondary to God - not our mere possession of the Truth. It is the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth (Jn. 14.16, from today's Holy Gospel), who will help us in this our most perfect union with God possible in this our earthly life with a most perfect charity that is the bond of this divine union.

The Divine Office brings before us the action of the Holy Ghost in the life of St. Simon Stock of the school not just of divine union but that of intimate union with God - the school of Carmel, most especially the Teresian Carmel (intimate friendship with God). At the age of twelve, following divine inspiration, Simon Stock left his family and, renouncing things familiar and also the pomps of the world, withdrew himself to solitude in a hollow of a trunk of an oak tree where he could be separated from dealings of men so that he could devote himself assiduously to prayer and delight in contemplation; he rarely conversed with men and gave himself to vigils, fastings, and ascetical discipline (from the fourth Lesson in the second nocturn of the Office of Matins). This is what the Eternal Word teaches us in the "Introit" of today's Mass: When I shall be sanctified in you, I will gather you together out of all the countries: and I will pour upon you clean water... and I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW SPIRIT. ... A new spirit, that is, the spirit of "fuga mundi" (flight of the world) and "contra agere" (to go against the tide of the world and of our disordered passions and inclinations). We flee from those things the worldlings and nominal Christians go "gaga" with; we strive to walk along the narrow and difficult path that leads to Life and refuse to revel with the same worldlings and nominal Christians along their wide, easy, and smooth path that leads to eternal perdition. And following the protestation of the great Prophet of Carmel, we do not halt between two radically opposed ways (3 Ki. 18.21) which is the New [Dis-]Order of the day.

"Bad Romance"

+
JMJ

Fifth Sunday after Easter

Religion clean and undefiled... to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation, and to keep one's self unspotted from this world (Jas. 1.27, from today's Epistle) - only the true Religion worketh charity and godliness. The "pseudo-religion, something that resembles Catholicism but was not the real thing" (Bella Dodd, ex-Secretary General of the US Communist Party who converted to the Catholic Faith, in our post "The Year 1929"): worketh "LUV, LUV, LUV"; mockery of God and parody of Religion.

Crazy Polish Dominicans of the New 'Catholic [Dis-]Order', in their effort to attract 'vocations', adopt the music and even sensual movements of a Satanist performer - the Lady Gaga:

The 'Modern[ist]' face and appeal of Vatican II's Neo-Catholicism: in the image of God AND of the world, the flesh, and the devil - a "Bad Romance" indeed!

"The opening to the world became a veritable invasion of the Church by worldly thinking."
- Pope Paul VI (L'Osservatore Romano, 23 November 1973).

"It is painful to see such a great disorienation....
The devil has succeeded in infiltrating evil under cover of good..."
- Sr. Lucia, C.D.

Woe to the world because of scandals. For it must needs be that scandals come:
but nevertheless woe to that man by whom the scandal cometh...
it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck,
and that he should be drowned in the depth of the sea!
(Mt. 18.7,6)
