'Pontifex' Succumbs to the Roman Gay Lobby

+
J.M.J.

The whole head is sick
(Is. 1.5)

Our Lady of La Salette (1849):
"Rome will lose the Faith"
- w/ecclesiastical approbation 1879

Although denying that there is in the Vatican a gay lobby among the higher hierarchy, the contradictions made by the 'Pontifex' in the plane on his way back to Rome clearly indicate what really made Pope Benedict XVI, who issued a document stating that "men with deep-rooted homosexual tendencies" should not be made presbyters, to resign from the 'presidency' of the Neo-Catholic [Dis-]Order - the mock-Catholic-Church (cf., our post "The Year 1929") bred by the non-militant civic-progressist (the 'Enlightened Liberalist' fraternity of the Feemasons, cf., our post "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage") and the savagely militant (the Communists) dummies of the Synagogue of Satan (Apoc. II.9; III.9), cf., our post "Anti-Christian Conspiracy - Scriptural Truth and Historical Fact". When something self-contradicts* itself, it does not really stand on the Truth for there can never be even a 00.01% trace of falsehood in the Truth.
---
* As with the "Bible-only" 'Reformation' which failed to verify if its foundation, the teaching: "Believe only what the Bible [that is, their Version] explicitly says," is, according to its very own criterion, 'of God' - that is, a 'Biblical' passage explicitly quoted as verbatimly as such!
---

We have already pointed out the madness of the Neo-Catholic teaching of Vatican II on homosexuality, enshrined in the mock-Catechism "PRESENTED" by Pope John Paul II's mock-Apostolic-Constitution (cf., our post "In virtue of OUR Apostolic Authority...") "Fidei depositum" - consequence for departing from, by contradiction, our Sacred Tradition, cf., our post "The Divine Spirit and the 'spirit' of Vatican II on Homosexuality". In stating that "the problem is not in the tendency/orientation" (CWR & CNS)/"the problem is not having this orientation" (CNA) - read: homosexuality in the latest Neo-Catholic "aggiornamento" is not anymore a disorder, a disorientation, nay, in traditional Catholic Moral Theology, perversion! - the 'Pontifex' did not only materially (not speaking "ex cathedra" to the 'phenomenalist' media) defy the traditional Catholic position but even contradicted 2358 of the Neo-Catholic 'Catechism' (quoted in our post, "... The 'spirit' of Vatican II on Homosexuality" - link above) which he referred to! Either the 'Pontifex' does not really know his 'Catechism' or he himself is not convinced that the 'Catechism' is divine instruction.

If God is in the midst thereof,
it shall not be moved
(Ps. 45.6 - DRV),
but "Rome [has lost] the Faith"
(cf., our post "Lumen fidei - a 'faith' or the Faith?")

Withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly,
and not according to the Tradition which they have received of us...
admonish him as a brother (2 Thess. 3.6,15).

Christian Prayer - "[Asks] Such Things As PLEASE GOD" (III)

+
J.M.J.

Tenth Sunday after Pentecost

Send forth Thy light and Thy truth
(Ps. 42.3 - DRV)

When God sheds a ray of His light upon us, He makes us see our real state which "we are only beginning to learn, and [which] we shall have to learn all our life" (Henry Edward Cardinal Manning, in our post "'Find' and 'Prove' Oneself'?") - our sinfulness. We learn from our dear "Little Therese": "humiliation becoming my lot, I was unable to look upon myself without a feeling of profound horror" (emphasis, hers in the original manuscript, "The Story of a Soul," Ch. III); elsewhere, she points out but in a parenthetical note on the way her "Director" would point things out: "... The more one advances, the more one sees the goal is still afar off. And now I am simply resigned to see myself always imperfect and in this I find my joy" (ibid., Ch. VII; emphasis ours - Ignis Dei). Thus, if an advancing soul sees with "profound horror" her imperfections all the more so with those who, converted from the horrible darkness of the state of error and sin to the light of the Faith, have just begun the first stage of the Spiritual Life (battle against relapsing into the state of mortal sin). But how radically opposed to the movement of grace the proud attitude our Savior underscores in today's Gospel (Lk. 18.9-14): "I am OK" - yet not really OK and refuses to acknowledge, admit, and confess it!

It is unfortunate how the tone of "World Youth Day" was set by Pope Francis: "... This immense feast of faith" (opening address of 26th July). The Neo-Catholic youth were "energized" in a "revolutionary" 'faith' - the 'Modernist living faith' (cf., our post "Lumen fidei - a 'faith' or the Catholic Faith?"): an existentialist-experiential effusion of the "luv" of the Neo-Catholic 'ALL-luving-merciful Christ' (cf., our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'"; see also, "Pope Francis Speaks of a New 'Gospel' - 'universal salvationism'"). Let them immediately bear their confusion that say... 'tis well, 'tis well (Ps. 39.13) - immodest and impure youth, not sound in the Faith, materialist, 'liberal' conformist (Rom. 12.2) - for "Rome [has lost] the Faith" (Our Immaculate Mother at La Salette and at Fatima, cf., our post on "Lumen fidei..." - link above).

The prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail [of the other sign IN heaven - that is, in Apocalyptic language: IN the Church - a great red dragon, Apoc. 12.3, which].... drew the third part of the stars of heaven.... And they that call this people blessed, shall cause them to err: and they that are called blessed, shall be thrown down headlong (Is. 9.15; Apoc. 12. 4; Is. 9.16).

God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble
(Jas. 4.6)

Propitius esto, parce nobis, Jesu!

Christian Prayer - "[Asks] Such Things As PLEASE GOD" (II)

+
J.M.J.

Feast of St. James, "the Greater"
Apostle

Send forth Thy light and Thy truth...
(Ps. 42.3- DRV)

In our previous post, "Christian Prayer... (I)", God hath sent His mercy (Ps. 56.4) for evils without number have surrounded us (Ps. 39.12). In our period, impurity even to homosexuality [hath] overtaken [the world] (Ps. 39.12) as was foretold by the Prophet Isaias: a curse [shall] devour the earth, and the inhabitants thereof shall sin: and therefore they that dwell therein shall be mad, and few men shall be left (24.6). And Our Lord and Savior Himself, referring to the times of His visitation and Coming, links, as the effect to its cause, this curse of worldwide mad[ness] devouring many peoples, many nations* to the eclipse**, as it were, of the light of the Catholic Faith***: ...The Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, Faith on earth? (Lk. 18.8)
---
* In the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man shall be revealed (Lk. 17.29), cf., our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations"; see also, "Our Lady at Fatima: MANY souls go to hell..."

** The Sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light (Mt. 24.29). See St. Augustine on this passage in our post The Great Tribulation.

*** Eclipsed by the Neo-Catholic 'theologism' and its Neo-Catholic 'gospel' of 'universal salvationism' emanating from the Neo-Catholic Rome - seat of the "counterfeit-Religion" (cf., our post "The Year 1929"; see also, "In virtue of OUR Apostolic authority").
---

In sending us His mercy by virtue of the efficacy of the supplications of His just men, God hath sent also His truth (Ps. 56.4). Thus, to ask God His mercy that He save us is for Him to let the rays of divine light illumine our mind that it may adhere only to the Truth. Salvation and Redemption from our sins begins with divine illumination: The Lord is my light and my salvation, says the Prophet Daniel (Ps. 26.1); St. John the beloved Apostle teaches, In Him - the Word [Who] was God... made flesh (1.1,14) - was life, and the Life was the light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness... (vv. 4,5). If humility is a necessary condition of authentic Christian prayer, we must confess - thereby acknowledging - that we are in darkness, nay plunged in deep darkness. And if in God's great mercy, He sends us for our end-times period the Apocalyptic Woman for our last "life-line" as Queen Esther was to the beleaguered Hebrew nation (cf., our post "Mary in the Sacred Writ: the Queen of Mercy") so thus She the morning rising, fair as the moon [which was appointed to shine upon us in this 'night' with the light She derives from the Orient from on high (Lk. 1.78)] points out to us the reason why the world is plunged, nay wallowing in deep darkness: the light of the Catholic Faith would be eclipsed right there in Rome - "Rome will lose the Faith..." (Our Lady of La Salette), "[Not in Rome] will... the dogma of the Faith... always be preserved, etc." (Our Lady of Fatima ending the Second Part and introducing the Third Part of "The Great Secret of Fatima") - this we must acknowledge.

Send forth Thy light and Thy truth: they have conducted me, and brought me unto Thy holy hill (Ps. 42.3, recited by a Catholic priest at the foot of our traditional altar before he, as a Levitical minister, [goes] up (1 K - 1 Sam in non-Catholic versions - 2.28) to stand before and speak, like Moses of Old, with God, as if to a friend, face to face - Ex. 33.11). Thus, the light shed by the Orient's morning Star does not leave us lost as to where to go - unto God's holy hill: a lesson that the Crucifixion and Death of the Savior on Calvary, where the enemies seemed to have prevailed and the Prince of the Apostles wandering afar off (Mt. 26.58) the Cross, must figure in Christ's "Mystical Body" (Pope Pius XII); that is, following the principle of St. Ignatius of Antioch, wherever a true Catholic bishop [though he may be the only one left as St. John was among the Apostles], 100% sound in the Faith (with no shade of Neo-Catholic disorientation and 'integrative' desires; repudiates also Sedevacantism), is and standing faithfully [as St. John, the only Apostle then left, did] offering before the face of God the propitiatory Sacrifice of the Savior on His high altar (Heb. 13.10), there the "Mystical Body of Christ," though reduced to a remnant but universal still - united in one and the same Faith (not only in terms but also and especially in precise, not in ambiguously 'Modernist', sense), in the same traditional Rite of the Sacraments, and in "hierarchical subordination" by "Holy Obedience" to the SOVEREIGN PONTIFF really functioning as such - is! Christian Prayer - "Ask[s] Such Things As PLEASE GOD" (I)

+
J.M.J.

Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces
(Traditional Teresian Carmelite Calendar)

Last Sunday, the ninth after Pentecost, Holy Church prays that God help her children to "ask such things as please [Him]" (Collect of the Mass) for many, too often, ask rather such things as please themselves. But it pleased God to have loved us for all eternity, I have loved thee with an everlasting love (Jer. 31.3-DRV), and so He made "our heart... restless until it rests in [Him]" (St. Augustine). After our Original Fall, it still pleased God to draw us back to Him, therefore have I drawn thee, taking pity on thee (Jer. 31.3), by a most powerful expression only true love - a love that is divine - knows and is capable of: the greatest sacrifice on the Cross. And even after the Cross, when it seems to be not enough still, for evils without number have surrounded [us], [our] iniquities have overtaken [us], and [we were] not able to see: they are multiplied above the hairs of [our] head and [our] heart hath forsaken [us] (Ps. 39.12) due to our fault in letting ourselves be drawn away and got preoccupied with money to collect earthly goods and possessions, to eat and drink, to be merry; with earthly fame and honors; and, with earthly pleasures - God was pleased still to give us for our last "life-line" to our salvation, and the dragon was angry against the Woman: and went to make war with the rest of Her seed, who keep the commandments of God, AND have the testimony of Jesus Christ [not the 'Lord' in the macrocosm of the pan-religious New World Order referred to by Pope John Paul II in our post "Our 'Great Reversal'", and not the 'Christ' in the microcosm of both the 'Reformed Bible-only-Christianity' - which contradicts Christ by claiming His indefectible Church to have been prevailed over already by the gates of hell degenerating into 'idolatry' and 'Popery' - and the counterfeit-Catholicism, cf., our post "The Year 1929", the Neo-Catholicism of Vatican II; cf., the pseudo-Christ of the New 'Catholic theology': "Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'" and in the Neo-Catholic 'Gospel' of 'universal salvationism' proclaimed by Pope Francis but in his capacity of a fallible Conciliar figure-head Pope or 'theologist', not in the capacity of the Sovereign Pontiff speaking "ex cathedra" or from the Chair of the Truth "in virtue of OUR Apostolic authority"] (Apoc. 12.21; cf., our post The Great Sign in Heaven):

In me is all hope of life and virtue.
In me is all grace of the way and of the truth
(Ecclesiasticus 24.25).
He who finds me, finds Life and
draws salvation from the Lord
(Proverbs 8.35).

Halting Between the True God and the Neo-Catholic Idol

+
J.M.J.

Feast of St. Elias
Our Prophet, General, and Father

How long do you halt between two sides? If [the Lord of our Sacred Catholic Tradition being worshipped in our Traditional Liturgy be the true God] follow Him, but if [the Neo-Christ of Vatican II Neo-Catholic 'theology' being worshipped in the New Rite, cf., our post "The Ultimate Delusion of Vatican II 'Catholicism'"], then follow him (3 Ki. 18.21).

In the seventh and final age of the Church, Our Lord has foretold her general state with the coming of the Antichrist taking possession of Rome: thou art neither cold, nor hot... But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of My mouth (Apoc. 3.15-16). With Benedict XVI's "Summorum Pontificum": which translates into a man taking his whore-mistress to cohabitate with his true spouse and assigning to his whore the "ordinary" use of the conjugal bed! we have a categorical indication that ours, the fifth age: thou hast the name ['Catholic'] of being alive, and thou art dead (Apoc. 3.1; "... A 'Catholic' clergy and laity marching under the banner of the 'Enlightenment', all the while thinking they are marching under the banner of the Apostolic keys...," cf., our post "A Perilous 'Catholic' Voyage"), is already that "dress-rehearsal" for the regime of the Antichrist - with his organized precursors commandeering Rome, cf., our posts "The Year 1929" and "Upheaval: Russia's Errors Spreading from the Neo-Catholic Rome".

St. Elias, intercede for us!

"Holy" Obedience - The True Catholic Obedience

+
J.M.J.

Solemn Commemoration of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

Sin makes the soul a slave of the devil and among the sins which makes the soul the worst slave of Satan is the sin of impurity (cf., our post "Vade retro Satana!") - especially homosexuality: "the basest moral perversion" (St. John Chrysostom in our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations"); but, of all sins it is disobedience that makes the soul like to the proud and rebellious devil! He that hearkeneth to me shall not be confounded, and they that work by me shall not sin.... [For] in me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue... (from the Epistle of the Mass, Ecclus. 24.23-31).

*Of all the virtues, that of which the practice costs the most to man is obedience. To give up our own will, to sacrifice our own judgment, to depend upon another not only as to our way of acting, but even in our way of thinking and judging - and this not with regard to indifferent things, or things of no great consequence, but with regard to things pertaining to our salvation and sanctity - this is something much more difficult than privations, or fasts, or austerities. Obedience attacks a man in that which is dearest to him - in his liberty, in his right to dispose of himself as he likes. It attacks his self-love where it seems to be most reasonable and to have a good foundation. What is more just, apparently, than to judge of things according to our own reason, to guide ourselves according to our own light, and only to defer to that of others as far as we think proper? What seems more revolting to our good sense, at first sight, than to give to another all authority over us in what regards our conduct, to do nothing without his consent, and to execute blindly whatever he advises or commands, without the least resistance even in the depths of our own souls? This sacrifice is, without contradiction, the greatest we can possibly make. It is a universal sacrifice, because it embraces every moment of our lives; and it is the most interesting of all, because it concerns our future life and our eternal happiness.

Now, this is the sacrifice which God especially requires from every soul which aspires to perfection. Yes, He requires it as a condition without which there can be for that soul neither holiness nor true virtue. Whatever she may do if she follows her own will, if she directs herself, if she considers herself the mistress of her own actions, she will never please God, because self-love and her own spirit spoil all her good works. God declared to the Jews, by the mouth of His Prophet, that their fasts were not pleasing to Him because they did them of their own will. Does God desire sacrifices and victims? said Samuel to Saul. What He desires, is it not rather that you should obey His voice? For obedience is better than sacrifices, and to hearken than to offer the fat of rams. These words are of great importance, for they show us that it is obedience before all things which can give any value to what we do, since even the acts of religion have nothing in themselves which can please God unless they are done through obedience.

God therefore requires this virtue of us as the one which is most pleasing to Him, and which gives a particular merit to all the other virtues. To speak more clearly: by the other virtues man gives to God what he possesses, but he does not give himself; he keeps back that which God asks of him above everything else. But by "holy" obedience he gives himself, and he gives himself entirely, for what does a man refuse to God when he sacrifices to Him his liberty, and desires to depend only on Him for all things.

Objection: "If I desire to depend only on God, what need is there that I should obey a man? Is it not sufficient if I listen to the voice of Divine grace, and follow its interior inspirations?"

... In the first place,... Divine grace and Divine inspiration would lead us to submit ourselves to a man because this is the order established by God, Who in spiritual things as in temporal governs us through the ministry of men clothed with His authority. [Let every soul be subject to higher powers: for there is no power but from God: and those that are, are ordained of God. Therefore he that resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God. And they that resist, purchase themselves damnation (Rom. 13.1-2).]... In the second place, that nothing is more dangerous or more exposed to delusion than to constitute ourselves judges as to what are Divine inspirations; and that we shall most certainly go astray if we take for the will of God or the voice of God any stray imaginations which rise up from our heart or pass through our mind. Finally... that in all this there is evidently an insupportable pride, a presumption which God will not fail to punish by abandoning to his own reprobate senses that self-willed person who would not submit himself to the authority which was established to guide him.

Objection: "But why should I submit myself to a man who after all may be deceived, and may lead me wrong?"

The man to whom we submit ourselves holds the place of God: we can have no doubts about it; God has appointed him to guide us in the way of salvation (cf., our post "The 'Rule' of Our Lady... IX"). If we place ourselves under his guidance in all good faith, solely with the view of obeying God, we may confidently believe that God will enlighten him, and will give us, through his lips, all the instructions necessary for us. We must believe that God will never allow us to go astray so long as we walk in the way which He Himself has marked out for us, and that His very Providence is engaged in preserving us from error. [It is always supposed here], however, that our Director, in ALL his conversation and his conduct, has never given us ANY reason to suspect his Faith or his piety, or his good life or his capacity; because, if the contrary is the case, then we MUST of course leave him. But when your are once thoroughly convinced that he is a good man and an enlightened man, then you must resign yourself entirely to his guidance, without the slightest fear of running any risks as to your salvation or your perfection. God would never permit such a man to be deceived in anything that was essential, and He would set right, through His infinite goodness, any little mistakes into which he might fall, so that they should hurt neither us nor him. This is what we must believe with a firm faith. Without this, we would be for ever at the mercy of a host of doubts, unease, and scruples; the foundations of our obedience would nothing of firmness and solidity about them; and it would be impossible for us to bear all those temptations and trials, in which God wishes us always to sacrifice our own judgment to that of our Director.

The way of "holy" obedience is then not only a sure way, but the only sure way - the only way where we know God will take care of us, the only way to which He promises His grace and blessing. This way puts the soul in perfect safety, for in everything she does she may reassure herself by saying, "I am not acting of myself, I am not following my own will, I am not governing myself by my own decisions: it is God Who Is guiding me by means of him who is for me the interpreter of God's will... for then I might be deceived, and take for the voice of God the suggestions of the devil or my own imagination....

This way... gives an infinite value to the smallest things we do, through the principle of "holy" obedience; because even in the smallest things is found that which is greatest of all, and that is the sacrifice of our own will. Wherever God does not see our will, He sees His own; and wherever He sees His own will ONLY, can He possibly see anything that can please Him more?

This way is the way of annihilation, the way of adoration in spirit and in truth, the way of perpetual sacrifice. For what remains to the soul that has no longer either judgment or will of her own? What has she reserved to herself? Nothing: all is sacrificed, all is immolated. God has everything that was once hers, because He has her liberty, and disposes of it as if it were His own.

The merit of obeying a mortal man for God's sake is so great that it surpasses that of obeying God in His own Person; for if we were to see God, and if He Himself were to communicate His will to us, we should not have the merit [of the supernatural virtue] of faith, and it would cost us nothing then to submit our judgment [reason] to His judgment [Reason] and our will to His will. [Thus,] the practice of "holy" obedience embraces perfectly the practice of all the other virtues. It renders us invincible to the attacks of the devil; it raises us above all temptations and trials; it draws down upon us the choicest graces of Heaven. God can refuse nothing to an obedient soul; He looks at that soul with an extreme complacency; He delights in loading her with His gifts and favors.

"Holy" Obedience therefore is the short way to perfection. Let us attach ourselves to it above all else. Let us neglect nothing which it prescribes for us. Let us take care never to reason about it, nor to try to submit it to our own light: for it is no longer obedience when we seek to know the reason of the commandment. [It is only in this Traditional way of "holy" obedience] must we believe blindly, must we bring our understanding into captivity, must we force all the aversions of nature; and, as soon as ever a thing is commanded us, we must do it, whatever it may cost us [*mostly taken from an untitled writing of Fr. J. Grou, S.I.] - [except our adherence to the true God of our Sacred Catholic Tradition, for they have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the Faith (Rom. 1.5)]. This is the grace we ask Our Immaculate Mother and Queen of Carmel - She who [crushes] the proud and rebellious head of Satan!

A most blessed Feast once more to everyone, especially to our followers!

Solemn Commemoration of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odor, and my flowers are the fruit of honor and riches. I am the Mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. IN ME IS ALL GRACE OF THE WAY AND OF THE TRUTH, IN ME IS ALL HOPE OF LIFE AND OF VIRTUE. Come over to me... and be filled with my fruits.... He that hearkeneth to me shall not be confounded, and they that work by me shall not sin (from the Epistle of the Mass, Ecclesiasticus 24.23-31).

At Fatima in Portugal, the "Woman" of the Apocalypse (Ch. XII; cf., our post "The Great Sign in Heaven") appeared as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel before She returned to Heaven - "She wants us to wear Her Scapular" (Sr. Lucia, C.D.). "Those who wear Her Scapular," says Pope Pius XII, "profess to belong to Her" [and obey Her "Rule" - see "The 'Rule' of Our Lady...": a nine-day novena series of spiritual exhortations] And those who belong to Her She makes like to Her, "a garden enclosed, a fountain sealed up" (Canticle of Canticles 4.12) - see our post "Flower of Carmel".

A most blessed Feast to everyone, especially to our followers!

J.M.J.

Ninth and Last Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"Keep watch in prayers..." (Incline your ears to the words of My mouth.) - According to St. Alphonsus Mary Liguori, a great Doctor of the Church, prayer is "the great means" not only "of salvation" but also "of perfection". Since the true Catholic Religion is the school of Jesus Crucified - submission of self, even to immolation, to the will of God: to His signified will (the commandments of God, the constant teachings and legitimate - never the SEEMINGLY legitimate: see our post "In virtue of our Apostolic authority" - laws of the true Church, the legitimate commands of lawful superiors - civil and ecclesiastical, the counsels, inspirations of grace, and - for religious - Rules and Constitutions) and to His good pleasure (that is, to all providential events willed or allowed by God for our own greater good and, chiefly, for our sanctification) - its student of authentic prayer learns from the Master that salvation and perfection is attained "by giving up our freedom for the love of God and entrusting it to another" (St. Teresa of Jesus, "Way of Perfection," XII): submission to direction of lawful superiors in things both external (that is, the signified will of God - what concerns salvation) and internal (that is, the good pleasure of God - what concerns Spiritual progress and perfection; the moral necessity here of consulting a devout and orthodox Spiritual Director). "God," says the eminent Fr. Tanquerey, S.S., "Who established His Church as a hierarchical society, has willed that souls be sanctified through submission to the Sovereign Pontiff and to the Bishops in things external, and to Confessors in things internal," for "when Saul was converted, Our Lord, instead of directly manifesting to him His designs, sent him to Ananias to learn from this man's lips what he was to do" (in the classic "The Spiritual Life," n. 531). "God," teaches Pope Leo XIII, "in His infinite Providence has decreed that men for the most part should be saved by men; hence He has appointed that those whom He calls to a loftier degree of holiness [the summit of Calvary] should be led [as the true Christ was] thereto by men, 'in order that,' says St. John Chrysostom, 'we should be taught by God through men'" (in Fr. Tanquerey, S.S., ibid.).

Eighth Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

Attend to My law... Renunciation," continues Fr. Francis, C.D., "appears painful because we, too, often look upon it solely as on a sort of amputation, a cutting off of the things we like and to which we are attached. We should view it rather as a process of liberation; it frees us from slavery to self and disengages us from everything that obstructs the development of love [divine]. We renounce ourselves because we love God and want to love Him progressively more; we want Him to act freely in us so that we may conform to Christ and attain close union with Him." St. Therese explains this when a novice exclaimed: "Alas, when I think of all that I still have to acquire!" She answered: "Say rather 'to lose'... it is Jesus Who takes charge of filling your soul according to the measure in which you get rid of your imperfections." Fr. Francis notes: "When we consider renunciation under that aspect, it becomes easy  and we find that Christ's burden is truly light. It is love that lightens burdens... The nearer we approach progress progress, and the more clearly we recognize the obstacles that are impeding our progress, the more anxious we feel to free ourselves from everything that arrests our flight towards Him and our transformation into other Christs."

J.M.J.

Seventh Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

Attend to My law... To resolve to love God alone with complete generosity, "it was imperative then... [to] practice a radical renunciation" (Fr. Francis, C.D., ibid.). However, "when renunciation is mentioned," notes Fr. Francis, "many people immediately picture to themselves a most unpleasant series of mortifications. They are frightened by such a prospect and the sight of the many deprivations they will have to impose on themselves. Now, this is not what is meant by renunciation. No doubt its practice implies a succession of privations, but renunciation is, above all, an interior disposition, a spiritual attitude. Renunciation consists principally in mortifying that self-love which makes us seek our own pleasure and satisfaction in everything we do. It means that we practice self-forgetulness. Again, renunciation is not an end in itself [that is, it is not a goal to which everything else is subordinated], but as self-seeking is incompatible with love [nay with charity], we must practice renunciation and self-forgetfulness before love can reign in our hearts."

Attend to My law... - "Once we realize that God is merciful love, we go to Him with confidence. In its turn, 'confidence,' [says our dear "Little Therese"] leads to love.'" (Fr. Francis of the Immaculate Conception, C.D., "Mieux connaitre St. Therese") And "love alone," teaches St. John of the Cross, "can repay Love." Now, "whoever desires to love God as He deserves to be loved must reject everything that might impede or weaken that love. For we love God truly only when we love Him alone and love Him with all our [mind, heart, soul and strength]; furthermore, any love we have for creatures [that is, our self, our loved ones, possessions, and even spiritual goods] must be centered in Him and be for Him. To this law there is no exception. .. In consequence of original sin, we find in ourselves a tendency to seek ourselves in all things [that is, to our honor, our ease, comfort, and pleasure]. It is this inordinate self-love that pulls us here and there and prevents the full unfolding of our love of God AND OUR GROWTH IN CHRIST. That is why [our Beloved] demands of those who wish to be His disciples that they deny themselves" (Fr. Francis, C.D., ibid.). If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Mt. 16.24).

Fifth Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"Meditating day and night on the law of the Lord" - Attend to my law. Our Beloved, in His "merciful love" (our dear "Little Therese") towards us, saved us the just wrath of God - the most embarrassing and excruciating ignominy of the Cross - demanded by the most callous ingratitude of rejecting Him to His Face in His judgments. How He loved us more than He loved those angels who had also fallen from His grace! "If thou, Lord, art willing to suffer all this for me.... wither Thou goest, I must go; through whatever Thou passest, I must pass... [to] save [you, my Beloved] SOME of [the afflictions and pains You have to bear with still]... Stumble and fall with your [Beloved], but do not draw back from your cross or give it up. Think often of the weariness of His journey and of how much harder His [sufferings] were than those which you have to suffer. However hard you may imagine yours to be, and however much affliction they may cause you, they will be a source of comfort to you, for you will see that they are matters for scorn compared with the [Passion] endured by the Lord" (St. Teresa of Jesus, "Way of Perfection," Ch. XXVI).

Fourth Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"Stay in the cell..." We have seen that to quest for, find and, finally, take possession most securely and for eternity our Beloved is the effect of the true Faith. This supernatural illumination sheds upon our minds, even darkened and corrupted by Original Sin, divine light that we may behold and enjoy the Face of the Beloved; yet, blinds us also to our preoccupation with everything that is not God. And now, foremost among these preoccupations is the self: "to find my self" - its so-called 'completeness', 'fulfillment', carried over to its 'liberty of exaltation' (even the exaltation of self-abandon to the intrinsic disorder of homosexual attraction! - the show of their countenance... have proclaimed abroad their sin as Sodom, and they have not hid it: woe to their souls...!" - Is. 3.9) that is independent of God, nay in defiance of God and of His true Church ["Holy," based on the Gospel revealed by the true God of mercy and justice and therefore worketh and abound in truth, charity - not "luv" - and justice]: the cult of man (cf., 2 Thess. 2.3-4, and our post on Vatican II 'Catholicism' as a 'reconciliation' between the Religion of the God-Man and the "cult of man" - "The Great Tribulation"). When the principles, maxims, and 'gender equality' cause of the cult of man finds resonance among those who wear the Scapular, the Rosary, who 'go to church': they are "apostates" in the service of Satan who transformeth himself into an angel of light (2 Cor. 11.14) - not men of the Faith; they [have] the name ["Catholic"] of being alive, but [they] are dead (Apoc. 3.1). But yet the Son of man, when He cometh, shall He find, think you, Faith on earth? (Lk. 18.8 )

Third Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"Stay in the cell..." Quest for God - and Him alone, for He "alone suffices!" ("Solo Dios basta!" says our holy Mother Teresa of Jesus) - is "conversio ad Deum" (conversion to God); the quest for something other than God is "aversio a Deo" (turning away from - TURNING ONE'S BACK against - God): "conversio ad creaturam" (turning towards a creature). Hence, to seek God alone is to set one's life and whole being in opposition to - better yet, in warfare against - the world (with all its allurement to quest for good-image-projection, 'wellness', wealth - to surround oneself with things to cater to and pamper vanity; to provide all ease, comfort, convenience, amusement; even: 1) just to have a taste of some luxury, but all the more better 2) to wallow in luxury), the flesh (with its naturally blind and morally disordered - by Original Sin - quest for all sort of sense pleasures), and the devil (with all his cunning schemes and suggestions - through subtly corrupt principles, maxims, and teachings - of evil but under cover of good and pretext of truth - seemingly true: counterfeit, semblance). For this reason, the man of religion - the religious of "the Order of the Virgin" - must be a man not just of a 'faith' but a "man of the Faith": he can not be a Carmelite without his being first a Catholic; the same for those who affiliate themselves to the Immaculate under the banner of Her Order and take refuge to the "chamber" of their Beloved - Her Heart - of which the Scapular She appoints to be its "seal." It is the Faith that will be our supernatural guiding light not just because we are renouncing the world, the zone, the atmosphere, or the 'order' of things familiar to us but precisely because it leads us unmistakably to union with the Cause of our unbounded, most secure and eternal happiness: the Divine Person - the true God of our Faith.

The "Rule" of Our Lady and the Scapular Confraternity - II

Second Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

"Stay in the cell..." Union with Our Beloved requires purity of soul and body. The traditional religious life provides the religious a safe asylum to keep this purity enclosed. Hence, the baptized, once he crosses the threshold of the religious (and of the clerical) life, is given also a distinctive dress that sets him apart from the laymen but particularly from mundane cares - one is that of fashion whence vanity springs and is being fed. My sister, My spouse, is a garden enclosed... a fountain sealed up (Cant. 4.12). The cincture of the religious encloses purity while the Holy Habit of the Order - the Scapular - seals him, who renounces the world and the flesh, up. Those who affiliate to "the Order of the Virgin" must renounce, with promptness and generosity (with zeal), first and foremost all false and counterfeit doctrines and principles peoples are fed with all diabolical subtlety which, by extinguishing the supernatural illumination of the mind through their admixture with divine truths of the Faith, inform the mind with and fill the heart to care for mere useful, beneficial, enjoyable and pleasurable goods. See how you are donned with the Habit of the Virgin - the Scapular in its miniature form: it goes first through your head then rests on your breast. Victory in this Apocalyptic battle is facilitated by refuge to the Immaculate [She who crushes the 'head' of the devil - from which all subtle lies and errors spring] Heart [the beatings of Which were but a most pure and harmonious care, love, and service of Its Beloved] of which chamber the Scapular is the "seal."

The "Rule" of Our Lady and the Scapular Confraternity - I

First Day of Novena to the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel

Attend, O My people, to My law: incline your ears to the words of My mouth (Ps. 77.1, from the "Introit" of the Mass for the Feast, last 3rd July, of St. Irenaeus, Bishop & Doctor who wrote much against heresies). The Primitive Rule of the "Order of the Virgin" (Our Lord to St. Teresa of Jesus, Reformer of the Order of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel) lays down that the friars and nuns are to stay in their cells... meditating day and night on the law of the Lord (taken from Josue 1.8) - attend... to My law - and keeping watch in prayers - incline your ears to the words of My mouth. Those who would like to share in the spirit of "the Order of the Virgin" - how the Confraternity of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel began - with the Holy Habit of the Order, the Scapular, in its miniature form for a most special token of their union with the mind and heart of the Immaculate Virgin of Carmel, must therefore observe the above central precept of the Rule in so far as their state in life permits it. Our Immaculate Mother, the Woman of the Apocalypse (XII): She (Ipsa, in St. Jerome's Sacred Latin Vulgate Bible) who crushes the head of Satan from which springs all heresies and subtle errors which lead souls to serve and adore strange gods (Deut. 30.17 - DRV), in Her last apparition at Fatima in Portugal appeared as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel: "Our Lady wants us to wear the Scapular" (Sr. Lucia, C.D.), "the Sign of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary - particularly recommend[ed] in these perilous times" (Pope Pius XII) for the dragon was angry against the Woman: and went to make war with the rest of Her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (Apoc. 12.17).

Christian perfection is not only the business of religious and clerics. Sainthood is the goal for each and everyone - only Saints enter Heaven. Our Lord addressed the multitude: Be ye therefore perfect, as also your heavenly Fathers is perfect (Mt. 5.48). It is just that as the glory of the humblest star still far exceeds the radiance of the best earthly light, so the perfection of religious and, most especially, clerics to which they are called by God should be greater than that of laymen. Christian perfection is attained with holy zeal - hence, those who are affiliated to "the Order of the Virgin" through the Scapular Confraternity should learn the cry of its great Prophet: Zelo zelatus sum pro Domino Deo exercituum (With ZEAL have I been zealous for the Lord God of hosts, 3 Ki. 19.10); never by mediocrity, never by lukewarmness, never by complacency:

"... Stay in the cell...," means for the religious of the Order that first counsel of Perfection given by the Master to the young man who had kept the Commandments: Go sell what thou hast... (Mt. 19.21) - renunciation of all things they possess or might lawfully use for the sake of their Beloved that they become more free to devote themselves to God and His service in His chamber (Cant. 2.4). For those who affiliate themselves to "the Order of the Virgin" through Her Scapular Confraternity, you are enjoined by the Rule to renounce every false devotion filling up the "chamber" of your heart - 'devotion' to your gadgets either to be 'in touch' with your passible idols and creatures of your affection or to the building up of your online personal cults, together with the classical 'devotion' to the world and the flesh; and, 'devotion' to your manifold religious exercises but without Religion keeping you disentangled from conformity with the mindset, viewpoint, attitudes and principles of the New World 'Order': flowing still with the tide. Our holy Mother Teresa of Jesus says that we cannot enjoy God up there and enjoy at the same time the world down here. How long do you halt between two sides, says the great Prophet of Carmel (3 Ki. 18.21). Where thy treasure is, there is your heart also (Mt. 6.21).

"Lumen Fidei" - a 'faith' or the Catholic Faith?

+
J.M.J.

First Saturday of the Month

"That which afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Heart of Jesus...." (Sr. Lucia, C.D.): "Rome will lose the Faith" (Our Lady of La Salette in 1849 - the whole Message approved by the Bishop in 1879). "[Not in Rome will]... the dogma of the Faith [be] always... preserved, etc." (Our Lady of Fatima in 1917 introducing the Third Part of the Great Secret of Fatima - contained in the "etc." - which Our Immaculate Mother desired to be revealed in its entirety as early as in 1960 "because," explains Sr. Lucia, C.D., "it will seem clearer": Vatican II - with its revolutionary Neo-Catholic orientation - was to be convoked in 1962).

In the encyclical "Lumen Fidei" of Pope Francis and his predecessor Pope Benedict XVI, they refer to the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) as the "Council on faith." If Rome were to lose the Faith in the 1960s - as hinted by Our Lady Herself - what was proclaimed since the Council was a pseudo-Faith, a "counterfeit-Religion, something that resembles [the Catholic Religion] but was not the real thing" - See "The Year 1929".

A semblance; "not the real thing."

Good highlights which make the 'faith' of the encyclical "Lumen Fidei" appear to be Catholic: 1) Faith as divine knowledge - God is not a simple Object but the Subject Who makes Himself known (Ch. II). 2) EFFECT of the true Faith - makes us look not only to Jesus but also to see from Our Lord's viewpoint, cf., our post "Christian Love: Love of the Cross". "The Christian can see with the eyes of Jesus and share in His mind, His filial disposition..." (Ch. I).

Our Lady of La Salette
Points which make LF's 'faith' anything but Catholic: 1) "Faith without truth does not save" (Ch. II). And the 'truth': "[that] which would comprehensively explain our life as individuals and in society" so that 'faith' "leads to [ecumenical] dialogue in all fields." Therefore, Abp. Mueller, the manifestly MATERIAL heretic head of the 'Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith', states, in introducing the encyclical at a press conference: LF points out the fact that faith "is an encounter" - as 'Modernists' would assert: a living experience of the existentialist/phenomenological tradition.

Our Sacred Tradition teaches us that our divine Faith proposes to us the last end or the ultimate goal of our life ("as individuals and in society") which we cannot know and attain by our natural powers but only by supernatural enlightenment (that is, by believing what God has revealed to us): our possession of God in Heaven. LF does not speak of THE saving Faith as that body of Divine Truths which Christ taught and delivered to His Church alone [this absolute Catholic position as the sole vehicle is offensive to Vatican II's ecumenical dialogue] - hence, the Church, the pillar and ground of the truth (1 Tim. 3.15). No, what God has revealed can never be subject to a 'dialogue' (cf., our posts "The Great Tribulation" and "Our Lady and the Disorientation of Rome" on 'ecumenical dialogue'); rather, it demands the assent and adherence of reason though "not [comprehending] the extent, the breadth, and depth of how it is so" - this, reason does by the grace of God hence the saving Faith, a supernatural illumination, is truly a gift of God.

Pope John Paul II, Pope John XXIII, and the Neo-Catholic 'Sainthood'

+
J.M.J.

Feast of St. Irenaeus
Bishop and Doctor of the Church who wrote much against heresies

The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips:
he walked with Me in peace, and in equity,
and turned many away from iniquity
(Mal. 2.6, from the "Introit" of the Mass).

Canonization involves the infallibility of the Sovereign Pontiff. Let us not forget: 1) the process has already been altered so that the investigating panel no longer requires HEROIC virtue - Pope John Paul II failed to heroically oppose the "superforce of the anti-Church lodged in the Vatican" (cf., the late Fr. Malchi Martin, S.J. - famous exorcist and Vatican 'insider' in "The Year 1929") by signing, exactly 25 years ago, the scripted "Ecclesia Dei adflicta" (cf., the anomaly in our post "Deficient in via..."); besides offering grave public scandals offending against the First Commandment - defying God's wrtiten Word against the faithful making any religious fellowship with the followers of Belial (2 Cor. 6.14-15), presiding at an 'ecumenical' gathering in Assisi (cf., "The Great Tribulation"), and kissing the Quran of the Mohammedans (cf., our post "'Fools'").

2) The Roman Pontiffs, since the surrender by Pope Paul VI of the Papal tiara to the UN (cf., "The Great Tribulation" - link above), though retaining the title "Pope" [our Holy Father even refuses to be called "Pope"], have not been crowned with it - symbol of the Bishop of Rome as the Sovereign Pontiff who, as the Vicar of Christ the King, not only holds dominion over the Universal Church but also over all peoples and princes and kings (Ps. 21.29; 71.11 - DRV)!

Pope John XXIII, when Our Lady of Fatima told Sr. Lucia, C.D. to have the Third Part of the Great Secret of Fatima revealed in 1960 (Vatican II was to be convoked in 1962) "because by then, it will be more clear" (Sr. Lucia, C.D.) - the Third Secret, the "etc." at the end of the Second Part, reveals why "the dogma of the Faith will always be preserved" somewhere other than in Rome - did not only persist in giving a 'Modernist' orientation but even dared cast aspersions on Our Lady hinting that Her Fatima Message be placed again on the debating table: "in the face of what MIGHT BE a divine manifestaion OR MIGHT NOT BE[!]" - see "The Honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sacrificed to Vatican II 'Ecumenism'".

"Mater... sanctae spei"

+
J.M.J.

Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

I am the Mother... of holy hope... (Ecclus. 24.24, from the Epistle for the Feast of Our Lady of Perpetual Succor - the Epistle also for the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel). What do we need our Blessed Mother, who, with two wings of a great eagle (Apoc. 12.14), "hastens," says St. Alphonsus (cf., in our post "Mary in the Sacred Scriptures: Our Help"), "in Her mercy to succor us" Christians, for? What do we hope for from the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord every time we have recourse to Her maternal aid? The written Word of God teaches us: If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable (1 Cor. 15.19); therefore, Our Blessed Mother says She is the Mother of holy hope, and St. Louis de Montfort, in his "True Devotion to Mary," treats those who have recourse to Our Lady only to gain or obtain goods, benefits, favors and advantages for their 'psycho-emotional' consolations which they derive from physical, academic, social and economic well-being as "false devotees, pleasing neither to God nor to His holy Mother" [the master of most subtle deception - the devil - could play well here with the exercise of his preternatural powers (the powers of angelic nature distinct from the supernatural which alone is God's) to keep these poor souls of "interested devotees" - like the pagans and materialist Jews - in their false devotion].

On this Feast of the Visitation of Our Blessed Mother, the Beloved (Our Lord in the sacred Book of the Canticle of Canticles) teaches us what are we to expect rightly from the Mother of holy hope who, like Her Beloved Son, cometh, leaping over the hills... like a roe or a young hart... [ariseth], [making] haste... (from the Epistle, Cant. 2.8-14): the springtime not only of a life of grace but of the operation of the Spirit of Truth and of Love Divine by the flowering of His seven gifts and twelve fruits to their fullness - for the infant leaped... for joy. Winter is now past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers have appeared in our land, the time of pruning is come, the voice of the turtle is heard in our land: the fig-tree hath put forth her green figs, the vines in flower yield their sweet smell (Cant. 2.11.13).

Pretium salutis nostrae

+
J.M.J.

Solemnity of the Feast of the Most Precious Blood of the Savior Jesus Christ
(abolished in the Neo-Catholic calendar)

"... The Price of our redemption..."
(from the "Collect" of the Mass)

Where there is no shedding of Blood, there is no remission [of sin] (Heb. 5.6). Thus, our Traditional Latin Mass is truly a propitiatory sacrifice - "the very same one that took place in Calvary" (Abp. Lefebvre) though now in an unbloody manner being that sacrifice of Our Savior as the Eternal High Priest according to the Order of Melchisedech (Ps. 109.4; Heb. 5.6 - offering consecrated Bread, the Living Bread which is His true, real, substantial Flesh; and, consecrated Wine which is His Most Precious Blood).

The "Bible-only" sect[-arians] (2 Pet. 2.1) reject the said Catholic dogma on the Holy Sacrifice as preposterous. They were already 'saved' - as the 'Reformed theology' teaches them. One famous "Bible-only" televangelist confessed in his TV program that he committed bigamy and begged his followers for prayers - he must be despairing for Christ, they assert, can no longer shed again His Blood to blot out his sin after the propitiatory sacrifice on Calvary: pressed to its logical conclusions, the 'Reformed theology' must reject the 'Bible' [which of course is just their version on which they claim their doctrine "believe and you are saved" is based] as God's word and testimony and therefore precipitate into atheism.

When Pope Paul VI's original 1969 "Institutio Generalis" ("General Instruction" on the New Missal) came under 'heavy' criticism for defining Bugnini's M[e]ss the way Lutherans affirm of their 'sevice' ("The Lord's Supper or Mass is the assembly or meeting of the People of God, met together with a priest presiding, to celebrate the Memorial of the Lord" - "sacrifice" gone), the Vatican, upon order by Pope Paul VI, issued a revised edition (1970) of the "Institutio" which inserted in the definition "the sacrifice of the Eucharist" after the phrase "the Memorial of the Lord." The insertion is still not Catholic - lacking precision for the so-called 'Reformed Christians' also refer to their 'Eucharistic' celebration as a 'sacrifice': a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. The definition was the only thing that was retouched - the revised prayers and rituals of the New 'Mass' (where "propitiation" was suppressed and gestures of divine worship and adoration were greatly curtailed and even re-invented) therefore remained the same expression of the Protestant mentality as was given in the 1969 re-definition. Pope Benedict XVI called this anomaly a mere "mistake," that the New 'Mass' is "more a celebration than worship," cf., our post "Pope Benedict XVI on the New 'Mass': Outbalanced Liturgy..."

He was clothed in a robe sprinkled with blood, and His name is called the Word of God (Apoc. 19.3, third antiphon in the Office of Vespers). Sacred Writ testifies in this passage that Our Savior, as Catholic dogma teaches, is also true God for the Word was God (Jn. 1.1) - why the Blood of the Son of God alone could, with its infinite merit, propitiate the wrath of the God of justice provoked by sin (our opposing God and His laws, commands, teachings, and His Order of things to His Face) and blot out - through the traditional absolution at the Confessional, cf., our post "Absolvo te (II)" - all our offenses against God

A most blessed Feast!

Salvation is in the "Blood of the Lamb"

Apocalypse XIV now unfolding (cf., our posts "The Wine of the Wrath of God" and "After Pope Benedict XVI, the 'Last' Roman Pontiff?"). The divine chastisement of world-wide conflagration (Lk. 17.29-30, cf., our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations") to annihilate the 'super-power' and cities and nations drunk with the wine of its immodesty, impurity, fornication, homosexuality, and blasphemies (Apoc. 14.8) is imminent - the close of our end-times period (distinct from the consummation of the world, Mt. 28.20).

They... have made them white in the Blood of the Lamb
(Apoc. 7.14) ... All things... are cleansed with Blood: and without shedding of Blood there is no remission (Heb. 9.22).

The Blood of the [Divine] Lamb can be availed of in the traditional Rite of the Sacrament of Penance (cf., our post "On Concealing Sins in Confession") and of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist (the Traditional Latin Mass). Go to our traditional Catholic Mass Centers (links on the left-side bar of this site). Flee to the mountains... (Mt. 24.16).
