"Religion pure and undefiled..."

Fifth Sunday after Easter

Be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves (from today's Lesson, James 1.22-27 - the Holy Catholic Douay-Rheims Bible): that is, he that doth the will of My Father Who Is in heaven (Mt. 7.21). The true Religion is a living of the divinely revealed Truth manifested with supernatural miracles (the motive of credibility missed by Islam and Protestantism which claim: by a book). Doers of the Word of Truth HEAR - not Protestant (BibleOnlySectarianism) READ: Faith cometh BY HEARING (Rom. 10.17).

If a man be hearer... and not a doer, he shall be compared to a man beholding his own countenance in a glass... forgetting what manner of man he was (v.23). In a glass, that is, a mirror. The Word of Truth, written or unwritten (the "paradoseis" or traditions of the NT Gk: 2 Thess. 2.14), is compared to a mirror for by presenting the ideal conduct meritorious of heaven, it reveals to the hearer his shortcomings, just as a mirror reveals one's untidiness or facial blemishes [those resemblances still to the devil].

Religion ["threskeia" of the NT Gk: observance of ceremonial cult - the true Christian Religion is therefore the perpetuation unto perfection (cf., Heb. 9.11) of the OT with its appointed ritual worship by sacrifices on an altar; why the Apostle Saint Paul claimed: We have an ALTAR (Heb. 13.10)] clean and undefiled before God... (v.27). Thus the "BibleOnly" sectarians and those who claim 'no-religion-but-only-personal-relationship-with-God' are refuted - they did not understand what religion is in its external profession necessary to engage man in submitting also his corporeal/material nature to God's absolute dominion!!

Religion clean and undefiled... to visit the fatherless and widows in their tribulation: AND to KEEP ONESELF UNSPOTTED FROM THIS WORLD. (v.27). Thus the 'convenient Christianity' of 'BibleOnly' sectarians - 'Protestantism' - and the 'convenient Catholic Religion' - that is, the pseudo-Katoliko Church (cf., our post "The Year 1929") or the 'Novus Ordo' of Vatican II - are condemned, cf., our post "Dead Men Walking". Their 'charity' nothing but the 'luv' of a philanthropist.

Salvation is in the "Blood of the Lamb"

Apocalypse XIV now unfolding (cf., our posts "The Wine of the Wrath of God" and "After Pope Benedict XVI, the 'Last' Roman Pontiff?"). The divine chastisement of world-wide conflagration (Lk. 17.29-30, cf., our post "Our Lady, Vatican II Disorientation, and the Annihilation of Many Nations") to annihilate the 'super-power' and cities and nations drunk with the wine of its immodesty, impurity, fornication, homosexuality, and blasphemies (Apoc. 14.8) is imminent - the close of our end-times period (distinct from the consummation of the world, Mt. 28.20).

They... have made them white in the Blood of the Lamb (Apoc. 7.14) ... All things... are cleansed with Blood: and without shedding of Blood there is no remission (Heb. 9.22).

The Blood of the [Divine] Lamb can be availed of in the traditional Rite of the Sacrament of Penance (cf., our post "On Concealing Sins in Confession") and of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist (the Traditional Latin Mass).
