Feast of the Queenship of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary
"Blessed art thou, O Virgin Mary, who didst take thy stand beneath the Cross of the Lord" (Paschal Alleluia of today's Mass). It is through the Cross that the Lord and Saviour would reign - conquering and subduing the ancient infernal deceiver who conquered the Eve of Old on the wood of a tree [for having precipitated himself through pride into such state far worse than of an unruly beast in heat, he pretended to occupy still a higher position over man when even in a bestial nature he was found to be lower than a tiny ant possessing limbs and carrying its body above the level of dust]; so it is beneath the Cross of the Lord that the New Eve would reign with His Beloved Son crushing under Her feet the head (Gen. 3.15) of the conquered and subdued infernal serpent drinking his own filth and poison. And while the rest of the Apostles abandoned the Crucified (the head and prince of them all shamefully at the lead), ONLY ONE Apostle, conquering the fear of what man can do, remained with the Blessed Mother when the cause of the "Beloved" seemed to be all lost and foolish. This same spot beneath the "scandal" of the Crucified would be the lot of Teresian contemplative - souls with the eyes of an eagle (the divine symbol of St. John) in the care of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary "Regina Decor Carmeli" (the Queen Beauty of Carmel) who readily see and understand the burden of their Beloved by sheer Carmelite gaze and who would not be content by just standing by but urged by the promptings of the Immaculate Heart taking His stead.
